Loved the "Purple Rain" intro, still surprised he couldn't guess it. Also, I forgot how good "Through Struggle" is. Also, also...Judson's ear is too good.
Tolle Maßnahmen 🍪. I keep wanting to write how interesting I found everything, the piano playing, the comments, ... but then - oh, now I've written it. That's how it is sometimes. Describing a seemingly hopeless situation can be the solution itself.
Didn't expect this old banger! One of my favs bands. Suggestions for next song (In order from album publication): - Forever - Losing Sight - The Darkest Nights - Repeating Yesterday - Nothing Left - Within Destruction - Forsaken
I really loved this band during this era. But, I still remember reading a review for the album before this one when I was like 14 and the guy said "more like as I squat pooping" and that's been burned into my brain ever since. 😂
As i Lay Dying --- perfekter name für eine band Band had united the classic "Gothenburg sound" - the punch-press rhythms, snarling vocals and melancholy riffs
A great album. LOSING SIGHT is the best song. I drove past Faulkner’s Oxford home recently. Try some Japanese Metalcore from two all-female bands: - NEMOPHILA - OIRAN (Live, 2023) - HANABIE - WE LOVE SWEETS DO you know Germany’s HEAVEN SHALL BURN? More BAND-MAID, please. I left suggestions at the other video. BTW, Arnold Schwarzenegger was also the Governor of California.
That part at 4:39 that Judson didn't seem to approve of was my favorite part. Low chance Richard reads this, but ever listen to Burn In Silence? Angel Maker is one of my go to metalcore albums but I very rarely see it mentioned. I always find band ties interesting and it featured Max Lavelle (TBDM, Despised Icon), Alan Glassman (JFAC, Despised Icon, Goratory) and Darren Cesca (Arsis, Deeds of Flesh, a bunch more). Austrian Death Machine was kinda fun. "Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers" was deceptively catchy. My favorite fake Schwarzenegger bit of theirs was the "Recalling Mars" intro to their cover of Misfits' "I Turned Into a Martian." Tim also had a tech death side project called Pyrithion that I seem to remember was actually pretty good, but it has been ages since I've listened to it.
One of my favorite metalcore song ever (and band), so sad what happened to this band lately Talking about Austrian death machine, their drummer just left the band for what seems to be the same reason as AILD members
However it is not a bad song I have the feeling I have already heard the same thing a thousand times before from a thousand other bands. I find zero original ideas, riffs, rythms, melodies in it. All have been played before already by a ton of bands.
As I Lay Dying? Oh gosh. It's story time.
Yeppp we saw it coming
Love Judson's instant improvisation

I absolutely love the piano intros!
Much appreciated!
6:39 I also started smiling before that big break ! One of the best in the history in my opinion.
What a throw back…gotta love that old school metalcore.
modern metalcore just doesnt hit the same as oldschool did
This is a blast from the past
Great choice for what's currently happening in the metal world. I'd love to see some Converge or Architects on here soon.
Yes I would also love to hear some Converge songs on this channel.
The Purple Rain performance from the Super Bowl is on another level!!
Man I would buy an album with those Interpretations on the piano
One of my favorite songs 😍
94 Hours, Distance Is Darkness, Undefined and Falling Upon Deaf Ears are my faves from these guys. Think Judson would enjoy them too!
"Theoretically"

Man, I shouldn't be sitting here cracking up at you trying to softly introduce Judson to the lore about this band's drama. But I am.
I really loved this band during this era. But, I still remember reading a review for the album before this one when I was like 14 and the guy said "more like as I squat pooping" and that's been burned into my brain ever since. 😂
The album of 2000s metalcore
Richard, get you some culture, no way you shouldn’t have been able to guess purple rain dude, COME ON
Austrian Death Machine is awesome! And Judson not seeing a film that Richard has?! Whatever next?
As i Lay Dying --- perfekter name für eine band
Band had united the classic "Gothenburg sound" - the punch-press rhythms, snarling vocals and melancholy riffs
The darkest nights, should be next for AILD!!
No more cookies for you! Naarrrgghhh
ohh, its just reminds me my 2010 when first heard this band...Great times
I love the smile by richard because he knew the breakdown was coming hahaha. Just like the rest of us :D
I smiled too

Id love to see his reaction to spawn of posession. The apparition!!
AILD basically invented metalcore. GOATs (horrible human decisions aside).
Also we have the same birthday!
"Ya got flagged" hahahhaha
Crypt Sermon shirt! Epicus doomicus metallicus \m/

I believe some “Austrian death machine” is in order now. Get to the choppa, if you want to live! Arnold approves.
forget As I Lay Dying need to get Tesseract played best intro would be "Natural Disaster"
Despite all the tim stuff AILD and shadows are security, in special are fucking amazing, i got through struggle tattooed on my mind.
Day 17 of requesting Diablo Swing Orchestra.
Richard not getting Purple Rain is a little crazy, I must admit.
7:19 he doesn’t realise it but he pretty much just played “in deaths embrace” by dimmu borgir
Also you should show him some Kalmah, maybe something earlier off Swampsong?
hades or the blind leader is a good pick
I can’t decide whether watch Judson play piano reminds me more of Gould of Schroeder.
hahaha amazing judson
NORTHLAAAANE
High school me was not into as i lay dying. Mid thirties me still not into as I lay dying. 😂.
Didn't want to go with The Darkest Nights?
Great song choice. Look up the new video I made Ingested Shadows in Time drum video

Lol you wrong
AILD did it first. Complain to the others.
@@Inlupineways Yeah, first sure... For example At the gates or In flames both were formed in 1990. Ten years before AILD even existed...
😈🔱👿... Yall check her out ?
finally AILD
Classic album, shitty circumstances.
