12243/12244 Chennai-Coimbatore-Chennai Shatabdi that runs except Tuesday in a week connecting two major cities of Tamilnadu, Chennai and Coimbatore.
This train is recently equipped with Head-On-Generation feature which eliminates the usage of End-On-Generation (EOG) which uses hundreds of litres of Diesel which is Noisy as well as Polluting. Southern Railway has unofficially decided to use the Head on generation feature in this train as this train runs fully within SR Region. This feature is now extended to 12007/08, 22625/26, 12027/28, 12269/70, 22619/20
Now HOG is also used in LHB Rakes of Kerala Express!!

    • @manoharram9327

Ramagopal Vishnubhotla that was 'neutral section'. Technically speaking it was a phase change of power supply. Due to this locomotive should stop intake of power from one when entering other isolating mixing of phases. To prevent the power disturbance. In memu it happens for upto 10 secs due to the train has to cross the neutral section from starting loco to ending loco. completely.
