@@patrickmertens2140 The green power light on that amp tells me you could be correct. It's hard for me to see the amp long enough to be sure, but it sure looks like it.
He has a little bit of the Neil Young fuzz, just outrageous!!!! LOVE him and he's pretty damn hot too LOL I had an Amazon playlist in the background heard this guitar and had to look it up ... it's a country playlist 🤣🤣. I was confused.
Actually just about everything Lucinda does can get rather addictive. But it's a good addiction to have. It's right up there with a good cup of coffee.
No one working today assembles a better group of musicians that so fully deliver their intentions. The guitar work is always perfectly placed and perfectly pitched and always delivers.
I had the privilege and honor to catch this tour and this is probably the best backing band Lucinda has ever had. She cannot sing like she could 20 years ago, but that is understandable. She is still one of the most important and talented American song writers of the last 30 years. You can tell the Doug Pettibone and the rest of the band know they are privileged to support Lucinda and truly enjoy playing.
Shout out to WPKN Bridgeport for tuning me in to this gem. Think I’ll just keep this on a loop for a few hours. Gets better & better. Sweet sexy soul Lucinda
Lucinda Williams is a truly talented songwriter and singer. No one can do it like her (deadpan?). I don’t even care if she was strung out. I saw her at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass this year and she rocked it. And Doug Pettibone - the man is pure GENIUS!!! I could listen to his guitar all day long. His skills tug at your heartstrings in magnificent harmony with her lyrics. The two together are simply amazing!
Whatever she’s been doing, she’s been doing since the late ‘70s, so she seems to have it down. She had a stroke a few years ago, but recovered enough to go back on tour.
I flew in for that show too, what a day!! The music industry totally missed an opportunity years ago when they ignored her. She was destined for greatness from day one...
Ray check out "Joy" on Austin City Limits. All her songs are amazing. Joy has two dueling guitars one slide one lead with two acoustic guitars. A work of art.
This is phenomenal lead guitar work, and that bend at 2:05 is just nasty. The tone is unreal. The rhythm guitarist is watching him the whole time, and he smiles right after that bend. Unbelievable.
I love her because she looks drunk, smacked out and like she's been walking the streets all night. She just puts herself out there and doesn't give a damn.
Absolutely! She's intelligent abs is involved with a lot of good causes, and so forth. Love the lyrics in this song starting right off with " you don't have to prove your manhood to me..." the best lol!
That 'Guy" is Doug Pettibone! and he is the ONLY one to see play with Lucinda Williams! Not that those other guys aren't good...they just don't hold a candle to him...and the chemistry he has with her. The are electricity personified together!! Thank you for the gorgeous film!!! xo
First time I heard this it just blew my doors off 💯🔝… still gives me chills. She has so much soul in her voice and style… and Doug is crushing it with that Axe 👌
I like the groove both vocally, lyrically, and musically. I like what the drummer's doing playing with one drum stick and using a shaker with his other hand... very cool.
I have been a fan of her's since 1990. I love this song, If more women talked to their men like the lyrics of this song more women would be happy with them and vice versa.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! This is one of my favorite Luci songs and have never found a live performance of it that i could rave about...until now! I'll be adding this to my FAVORITES...Thanks amizakk!!!
apparently she has been around for over 20 years and I have never heard of her until today...the radio station in key west plays '' rightous'' and'' joy '' all the time but never tells you who the artist is..I literally had to pic out certain words from her songs and throw them up on youtube just to find out who played these fun and interesting songs...and man ...what a find ...this lady is great and her band is top notch...her lead guitarist is just as good as eric clapton if not better
Ohh one hot mama and some deep nasty guitar riffs I love it! Everyone has an opinion, so everyone relax, RUclips is not the place to take out your aggressions.
I first heard this song on an alt station in Chicago in the early 2000's and had to have it. it was on my marathon training play list for years. Her singing on this version however sounds like someone doing bad Karaoke of Lucinda! The band kills it however. I hope she is doing well. Doesn't hurt that Robert Plant is a fan of hers!
Listen to this every so often and I have to say, what a great guitar sound here! Such dirty tone fitting for the song.
The whole band is tight , my goodness what a performance.
Williams writes from the heart. It's written all over her face. The woman is an American treasure.
Doug Pettibone is out of this world on this tune🎸. He and Lu are such a good mix!
This tune rocks! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥💯
I think this is the greatest song I have ever heard. Ive never heard any guitar lick anywhere near that. Incredible.
I so agree....Doug Pettibone is the man! 🎸🎸🎸
Check out literally anything by billy strings
I agree totally. I don't know how old you are but i'm sixty seven.❤
Agreed I’m listening right now because it’s one of my all time fave guitar solos
@@courtesyofdickboakSame!
Lucinda's drummer is smoking in the pocket. Great feel. I can groove with it so easily.
Guitar player is named Doug Pettibone and he is KILLER!!
is that a dumble up on the roadcase on the left?

Damn, the guitar cat kills it.
Raw, edgy and straight from the heart, my, my, my!❤
New to electric guitar. Playing a Les Paul Modern Lite. Somebody please point me in the direction of that guitar tone!
The lead guitarist is fire!
Shout out to WPKN Bridgeport for tuning me in to this gem. Think I’ll just keep this on a loop for a few hours. Gets better & better. Sweet sexy soul Lucinda
She is so damn good, and so underrated.......hot band, so good.
That guitar hurts so good! Listening to one of my favs during the COVID19 social distancing routine on 03.16.2020

Sounds better everytime I listen to it over and over again. Judgement on what she is or does is none of our business. Killer band and killer Lucinda!
I flew in for that show too, what a day!! The music industry totally missed an opportunity years ago when they ignored her. She was destined for greatness from day one...
SEEN HER IN CONCERT 4 TIMES AND WAS BLOWN AWAY EVERY TIME!!!...
She's not at a loss for words. The band is rockin' and hot.
That band is in the "pocket"...Awesome.
Best guitar, awesome track, Lucinda rocks.
Rey Flores Doug Pettibone on lead
Ray check out "Joy" on Austin City Limits. All her songs are amazing. Joy has two dueling guitars one slide one lead with two acoustic guitars. A work of art.

Just the way she says "leg" is going to keep me up tonight...
She has an amazing band behind her and her voice is unmistakable
this song never gets old! shes cool as a cucumber! rock on!
This is phenomenal lead guitar work, and that bend at 2:05 is just nasty. The tone is unreal. The rhythm guitarist is watching him the whole time, and he smiles right after that bend. Unbelievable.
Doug Pettibone killing it.
In 2003 this song came on our Alternative Rock station here in Omaha, Nebraska & I stopped dead in my tracks! This song is so good, sultry, & sexy!
I love her because she looks drunk, smacked out and like she's been walking the streets all night. She just puts herself out there and doesn't give a damn.
Stunning guitar work!!
I just stumbled onto this, Wow - lead guitar is awesome !!! Song has a great groove too!!!
I think she is the best.
Love you Lucinda! paving the way for so many women with your style and genuine attitude
Lisa Brown ~ SO refreshing, her talent..I listen whole driving long car trips~ SO cathartic.. Amazing!!
Absolutely! She's intelligent abs is involved with a lot of good causes, and so forth. Love the lyrics in this song starting right off with " you don't have to prove your manhood to me..." the best lol!
Besides Lucinda's amazing vocal, the drumming & guitar are awesome in this too. That gold guitar is very nice.
Her live album 'Live at Filmore' is the best
she is amazing, but jeez that Pettibone TONE!
After a year of searching, I finally figured out what guitar Pettibone is playing. It is a James Trussart Steeldeville.
That 'Guy" is Doug Pettibone! and he is the ONLY one to see play with Lucinda Williams! Not that those other guys aren't good...they just don't hold a candle to him...and the chemistry he has with her. The are electricity personified together!!
Thank you for the gorgeous film!!! xo

Good job from Lucinda and her band! Powerful lead/rhythm guitar there!
I like the groove both vocally, lyrically, and musically. I like what the drummer's doing playing with one drum stick and using a shaker with his other hand... very cool.

Lucinda's voice and Doug's guitar had a contest who could smoke a cartoon of Marlboro faster. Nobody lost
im here for the guitar, awesome enough to make it all work, good job
The guitar is righteous (see what I did there?) in this song!
