yeh, I mean all of them, but how does a baby manage to understand what's at stake & behave in a way that allows it to survive despite mum gone, no bottles, no clean nappies etc etc. Really something remarkable!
You must be referring to physical pain, which all of them suffered by the way, but the 1 year old didn't understand the events and unlike the older ones who had to look at their dead mother, the 1 year old suffered not mental anguish.
@@mirandaal4541 Separation anxiety peaks at 9 months on average & is still strongly present in 11 month olds. Separation anxiety is a mental anguish a baby feels when separated from it's mother. In most of the world, particularly native communities breast feeding is normal until at least 1 year of age too & babies drink mum's milk not just to alleviate hunger, but also for anxiety relief. This baby suddenly found all of that gone! Not only were they hungry, but normally hunger would be relieved along with that comfort of mum's breast & arms & voice, baby had to deal with not only the missing food, but also the missing comfort that goes with that. You are clearly not a mum if you think the baby didn't have to deal with mental anguish. Ask your mum to explain it to you, she'll be able to tell you how you behaved at that age that will demonstrate to you how you & this baby (and all others) would be distressed by these events. I actually find it mindblowing that people could not realise the connection babies have to their mothers at this age & how distressing it is for their mum to be missing
@RUclips CUJ they don't always. There was a famous study done on a baby monkey, where it was offered a bottle on a hard metal surface, or another soft, fury surface, that had no food. Monkey chose to cling to the fury surface & not eat because it's need for comfort was of higher importance to it than it's desire to avoid dying of starvation! Neglected children throughout history have commonly died purely from a lack of love too. In less extreme examples, there's "Psychosocial dwarfism" where children stop developing & growing, due to being denied love. Even when physical needs are taken care of, babies will still fail to develop or die if missing the love they need for their emotional stability. This baby is one tough baby to manage to survive 40 days out there! Obviously the older siblings played an important part, but the baby was still tough on it's own too, it did what as needed for survival, rather than just incessantly crying because of the loss of it's emotional supports that it needed for long term survival. In some ways it may actually have helped if the baby had cried incessantly, might have actually been heard by the rescuers in that situation
@@mehere8038 I read that the 13 Yr old regularly looked after the baby for long periods when the mother was working... it's likely this greatly reduced any separation anxiety it's still a remarkable story all round

That’s a miracle.
They are so resilient and resourceful. Incredible kids. So sad what they’ve been through.

This is remarkable! The eldest kids definitely know how to navigate and survive in the jungle for sure. They basically keep their 1 yr. old baby sibling alive for 5 weeks. Amazing!
This is why children need to learn life survival skills
@Perre Inn survival skills can come in handy at any time. We never know.
13 year old survives plane crash, keeps siblings and 1 year old alive in a jungle for 5 weeks. Amazing and much respect to the kids for keeping it together and looking out for one another.

Amazing and wonderful! I can hardly believe the 13-year old kept them all alive, including a one-year old baby! Their resilience, resourcefulness and courage is just incredible, what survivors! Thanks to God above, and every person, and dog, who helped in this seemingly hopeless search. The lesson for humanity here is Never Give Up! The children didn’t and the searchers didn’t, bless them all. I’m just stunned, and silly me, crying, can’t help it. I’m only so very sorry that they don’t have parents to return to. I’m sure everyone in their extended family with take loving care of them, these Miraculous Four.
Kimberly Perrotis, their father is alive. He wasn´t on the plane crash and never gave up on finding them. He was part of the rescue team ( military and indigenous people). Wow, God bless them children and what a story! The fact that they survived 40 nights in complete silence and darkness prone to attacks from some of nature's most dangerous animals and insects with lack of food, proper water, milk for the 1 year old and medical aid all whilst seeing their Mum die right before their eyes. Just a scenario, imagine sleeping on the floor in the jungle with no tent with bullet ants, snakes and other which can carry out extreme pain with its bite with no light around and it's 3am, you have a screaming baby in the complete silence because he hasn't had food or milk, your other 5 year old siblings are tired, hungry and crying for the Mother and you have to remain calm in the situation even though your scared as a Jaguar can jump out at any moment and kill all of you in the dark and it could be right behind you without you even knowing. There's a slim chance of hope but 39 days pass and still your clinging on... That's surreal man... Nice comment, how are you doing
The parents and relatives really did s great job in bringing up those children!
Omg, I can't imagine what the one year old baby went through??😢😢
yeh, I mean all of them, but how does a baby manage to understand what's at stake & behave in a way that allows it to survive despite mum gone, no bottles, no clean nappies etc etc.
@@mehere8038 I read that the 13 Yr old regularly looked after the baby for long periods when the mother was working... it's likely this greatly reduced any separation anxiety
it's still a remarkable story all round
