K2 Mindbender 99 Review: if you're looking for a credible alternative to Blizzard's Bonafide, the 2022/2023 Mindbender offers considerable edge grip and hard-snow performance, but with a more active feel overall. Soft-snow versatility is good, though as with the Bonafide, because of its stiffness the ski is perhaps best suited for heavier riders.

I am 5’ 9” 190. l have the Mindbender 90ti from last year at a 170. I love it but thinking of getting the their new 89ti at a 176 for a little more length and stability at high speeds.

As a current Mindbender 90Ti skier (east coast), is the new design worth upgrading? I love the hard edging and stability of these skis.

I think they said the changes were mostly minor tweaks. Some contouring of that metal layer and a little bit of a radius tweak. If your skis are working for you I don't think you'd notice a big difference.

I am also a 90ti skier on the East Coast. What length are you skiing? What is your weight/height? I am 5,9 190 and ski the 170, but thinking of upgrading to the next size up 176 for a little more stability at high speeda

@@WorldBeater123 I'm 6'4" 235 on 184s. I'd likely go with 189s if I had the chance.

@@WorldBeater123 I think I was demoing a 180-ish length. For your height/weight, that would be a reasonable choice. 170 might be a little short unless you specifically care about nimbleness (ie, in moguls and trees)

My wife got a pair of these and cannot believe how great they are. Any turn shape and no speed limit. She called them very intuitive.
