"No one is good enough for me..." isn't exactly a better mindset to adopt. As with all things, the sweet spot is in the middle of both; understand that you're enough in and of yourself and know when you deserve better, but also know when you're the one that needs to be better.
@@random-gu5op Bruh shits dope! Hope he keeps that dope vibe going like that man! Music been meshing up real smooth in the show, really dipping you in that moment.
This song is so good. It gives the vibe of someone who’s tired of the self hate and downing themselves, and even if it’s just for one moment, or one day- they’re on top of the world and they’re not with the BS anymore. Like they’re finally getting ahold of themselves and their power… such a powerful feeling from this song. It’s def one of the best EVER. This part gives me chills 0:21 and 0:28. Whew……….
This is exactly what I feel about this song! Like after I'm done with a mental breakdown, when I listen to this song, it makes me feel like I don't even care about other people and I actually get confident.
It's not hard. Stop caring what people think about you. I wasn't the most confident in HS years ago but no one fucked with me. I was friends with everyone (even the most popular guy in school: i was a "freak/goth/whatever you want to call it) and knew everything and HS doesn't mean shit. Same applies to a job. Act like you own the title and go for more but to a certain degree. You have to know when to push and when not. Study the "top" personal. My last job I went under paid cause fresh from school and quickly exceeded their "top" personal. (They didnt know shit.) Just because someone might be on top or be "the best" chances are that their not and they got to their place acting like they own it.
This song brings me back to my teenage years, walking in the middle of the night lurking around hiding from the cops because it’s past curfew. Or the moment when you at the party but it’s almost over

When I heard this song, accompanied with Zendayas characters portayal of drug addiction, which is obviously one of the general themes of the show, I literally got chills and even teared up a bit. I would like to explain here why this songs lyrics are actually really deep and intuitive in terms of the relation to the addicts experience and ultimately their struggle, even though it may not seem like this song was intended to have that affect while glancing at the lyrics. (this is all opinion based so feel free to disagree) The first few lines of the song, "Mt. Everest aint got s*** (sorry yall I'm more than okay with cussing but I'm keeping it PG lol) on me" and so on. The artist is generally talking about the beginning of your addiction. This is what us addicts would call "riding on the high" or whatever else you might call it. In that moment you are literally on top of the world. Nothing can stop you. So much money don't know what to do with it" could represent your first years after the addiction has set in. Things start to fall apart and instead of changing and getting sober, you rationalize your addiction and make excuses to yourself for it. You will let it burn your life down multiple times just for the "fun" of getting high. When he talks about having so much "money" you could interperet that as him talking about the fact that you are riding that high. You have accepted the fact that you need these drugs and you have set up connections to feed your habit. The money you have so much of is the plethohra of drugs to keep you going, and no driving force in you to stop it. You literally don't know what to do with it, so you continue blindly. The next couple lines " I don't pick up the phone ain't no one worthh the time. I got me a gun and an alibi. So much love the the whole thing feel like a lie" Could be interpereted as how an addict slowly isolates themselves from those they love as they spiral downward. You can't even pick up the phone because even if you do stlll love them and want to talk to them (most of us do) you also know that the person you have let yourself become is not someone you would want them to see. If by some chance these loved ones confront you about your addiction you have your "gun and your alibi". Your "gun" being defensive and aggressive denial towards their accusations, and multiple lies to serve as your "alibi". You still are feeding that high and it feels so good, but you know deep down that it's not right. JUST like a "love thats so good it feels like a lie". If it's too good to be true it probably is. After that he says "I don't need nobody to save me" multiple times. Which could represent you continuing down this road over and over. You rationalize your behavior and continue to tell yourself that you don't need anyones help. Your loved ones that haven't given up on you yet simply try repeatedly to help you, to no avail. If you do decide to end the cycle of addiction, it will be on your own terms for your own reasons (even if a lot of the time that reason ends up being for the ones we love more than for ourselves). Finally to conculde the song he once again says "Mt. Everest ain't gotshit on me" which leaves the song open ended with good reason. Even if we do manage to get clean and end that cycle of addiction, most of us end up relapsing at least once, if not multiple times. We can put ourselves through the hell of withdrawl after already going through a life changing addiction and still put ourselves back in the EXACT same position that we were in to begin with. It seems crazy to most but to us we are so high and happy that "Mt. Everest ain't got shit on me". Which is what REALLY makes this song relatable. It metaphorically portrays the experience of an addict in a way that non-addicts simply don't understand. It explains why we keep going back in a way that hasn't been done before. Genius, even if not intended. Because like I said, I know I'm probably WAY off from what the artist truly was trying to say with this song. And to be completely honest, I most assuredly only associated this song with the heartbreaking cycle of addiction because of the emotionally charged themes of Euphoria and the ingenious way the producers find music to accompany the themes of the show. But either way this song still triggered a very emtional response in me, which was brought upon by the relatability of the lyrics, the style of the music, and (thankfully) the way Euphoria introduced me to a song that I normally wouldn't have found on my own in a way that made me think in metaphorical terms. 10/10 would reccomend (Labrinth and Euphoria). Haha. Sorry for the short novel but I felt the need to get this out even if no one else reads it. Because honestly, I feel like theres a chance that I might not be the only one who made this association. Definitely a new fan of both Labrinth and Euphoria!!!
Labrinth opened the Valentino SS21 show in Milan this year with this song. I walked the show to this song and I swear to god, I have never felt so fucking badass. Thank you Labrinth.

This is an awesome interpretation of the song, I wow....just wow...This is gold. I wish more people could read this.

This song makes me feel narcissistic, as if I am above everyone, and I really liked this feeling. Because of it, I developed my personality and became stronger than before. I even got into fights with the boys who were bullying me. Everyone became afraid of me just because of the song.
Because of this song I became an indomitable woman
