- What is the Sabbath day? Can I work on Sunday?
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

His grace is for you! No one can keep the perfect law perfectly. Only by the law is the knowledge of sin, that's the purpose it serves us, this sparks in us our need of a Savior! Hence, His grace..its the ability to obey Him coming through the Holy Sirit which we are to ask for continually (Luke 11) Shabbat Shalom friend

Genesis 1 and 2 is the creation of the world in 6 days. Then God rested on the 7th day and blessed it and sanctified it and declared it Holy. Genesis 8:22: as long as the earth remains there will be planting & harvest, cold & heat, winter & summer, day & night. So creation is not able to change. The 7th day rest still remains.

Come on people. Sin is such a serious matter to your Heavenly Father. When He gave us these commandments He did so in grand fashion. With thunderings and lightning on a mountain top into tablets of stone. And you believe this very loose association of John quoting the Sabbath as the Lord’s day and Jesus being the Lord of the Sabbath Matthew 12:8 points to the changing of the only commandment that begins with remember? Or is Jesus ‘point here is that He is the Lord of the Sabbath. And that if David ate of the shewbread that He (being his Lord) could certainly do what He wished on the Sabbath. And let us not forget what He chose to do in honor of the law on the Sabbath following His death on Friday:

I like most of their teachings but concerning the Sabbath I believe there is a problem with it. I'm a Bible student and I've learnt that that all the 10 commandments are repeat in the NT plus additional commandments but the Sabbath day is not binding on us according to the NT. From the bible we read Jesus and his disciples did things that were against the Sabbath. It's good to have rest. If you read Christian history you will find out that Jesus's disciples met on Sunday because Christ resurrected on a Sunday....what about the Sabbath year are they observing that too
It's a matter of believing in creation. God created in 6 days the world and everything in it. He created the seventh day for rest and He blessed it and sanctified it and declared it Holy. Creation doesn't change. We still have a 7 day week.
