Hey Team Taylormade! Great video, but with this being said, the way the shots are executed are not because of the golf ball but strictly because of the skill of the players. I would like to see comparisons of spin rates from different yardages that prove that the TP5 is the best ball on the market! Love the videos!
Sub out the TP5s for worn out range balls, and not even these two can consistently hit these shots. Each will be well struck, but the spin rates will be off, they’ll knuckle or fly left/right unpredictably, etc. Long way to say the golfer’s skill can only do so much if the equipment they use isn’t top notch. The ball has a lot to do with their success.
I generally like these challenges - they let us see a bit more of the players’ thinking and then just how good they are at hitting the shot as they see it. Plus a bit of chat is nice. But a lot of the discussion in this one’s very forced - Trott is desperately trying to get the guys to make specific claims for the performance of the ball and they’re clearly not interested; the spin wheel is just embarrassing (you can see Trott checking with the crew that he’s picked the right option!). I get the impression that not much planning goes into these videos.
Used to be a huge TaylorMade fan, and used MG3 P770 Stealth driver Sim Max woods. But now seeing they are overly investing in videos like this(and my two 56-degree MG3 one is D3 one is D5). I decided to switch brands. Great video tho, just not great clubs
