What a pleasure and educational lesson to listen to the Honourable Congressman Rodante Marcoleta explaining once again the violations of the Philippine Constitution and Laws by the said network which led to their current position. It is a common saying “ no one is above the law “ . Elected officials should be the first role model - -exemplified by no other than Congressman Rodante Marcoleta. He use his superior intelligence not for publicity or for the sake of talking in circle -blah blah - but -- for service / welfare of the country . Legislative franchise emanates from the House of Representatives who due to several violations of existing laws and regulations had previously denied the application for the renewal of its (ABS CBN) franchise!
A franchise being a privilege in its nature, the grantee has legal obligations to follow and any violations thereof will cause the revocation and non-renewal thereof no matter how noble or paramount contribution it has to the general public!
