    Excellent follow up video, Gord! Biggest tip: test shoot your green screen BEFORE doing a long recording.

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman 7 лет назад

      Yes, that effort can save a ton of time! This issue happened to me when I had my lighting a little too uneven and then I had to re-shoot after re-aligning the lighting back to where it was exactly, in the previous successful setup. Now I have a more permanent setup so it rarely happens.

    How do you do this for the entire video? Not just for the green screen/webcam background.
    I have a 10 second motion background I need for my entire video screen and want to put elements on top of it such as webcam recording with transparent background.

    Great video. How would you add a green screened clip behind an object (such as a desk or window or person) so that only the part you want visible can be seen? Is there a way to edit the frames to have what parts you want visible and what parts you don't? Crop only let me cut out straight lines.
    For example: The green screen video of a person walking across screen. While the normal video is of a tree in a park, so that the person appears to be walking behind the tree.

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman 5 лет назад

      Hey Mr. Duane, unfortunately, what you want to do would require three layers of shots - the green screen, the beach, and the table stuff, with the walking part layered in between. Alternativelay, an editor like Adobe Premiere Pro, has more sophisticated traction masking (because awning is moving). That said, the more sophisticated green screen stuff you can do in Camtasia is demonstrated in this video: ruclips.net/video/RpSqaQHPvBg/видео.html . It might give you some additional ideas.

    I have a bookshelf as a background in a video and I would like to remove it. It is not a matter of removing one color but to completely remove the bookshelf behind me, so as to add another different background.. I have tried with "remove a color" but it does not remove it.

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman 4 года назад

      Remove a Color lets you select a color with the color picker and then has the adjustment parameters to tune around that color. It's not mean to remove a an array of color in a background around you. I suggest you consider putting up a green screen and using some lighting, if that fits into your budget. If you are going to do talking-head style videos, some tools will remove the background for you - they have a feature that does an "ok" job of removing the background without having a green screen. If you try out the Zoom app, you might find that it works for you. Let me know how you get sorted. Good luck!

    • @carloalbertomagni
      @carloalbertomagni 4 года назад

      @@GordIsman Thank you very much for your answer. The green-screen solution implies that I have to remake the recording with a green screen behind me, whereas I want to use a video which I made some years ago. So, perhaps, the zoom solution might fit. However, if I understand, your answer testifies to a non-negligible limitation of Camtasia as an editing tool: it is not able to superimpose a new background on an existing background. (That said, I love Camtasia and am very happy to use it for my lectures)

      @@carloalbertomagni, Camtasia has a degree of simplicity, but also with power. I'm glad to hear you are using it for you teaching. Good luck. My Camtasia 2020 review is out tomorrow.

    Sir, how i will make green screen Video?. Is it possible to change background without green screen?

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman 5 лет назад

      Yes, you can use the "Remove a Color" Visual Effect against another color background, it doesn't have to be green. It can even be just a solid wall color behind you. But remember, the color you remove may be in the subject you are recording and so it will remove the background and that color in what you may be recording. So, be careful.

    I'm having a "heck" of a time trying to do a green screen. I'm starting to think camtasia is not the way to go for green screening. I use a Logitech C920. Maybe it's the lighting ... the RGB varies from 97 - 208 depending on what part of the image I eye drop from ... I have green paper taped to the wall behind me ... I'm hoping I just need a decent light set up and a green screen to fix this .... every time I remove the green my image gets a jagged wavy perimeter. I don't know if it's the camera, the lighting or the camtasia software ... trying to fix this b4 I drp the C note on the camtaisa upgrade. Help me Gordo?

    • @GordIsman
      @GordIsman 4 года назад

      Many people have no problem in using the Camtaisa "Remove a Color" (green screen) visual effect. Most issues have to do with inadequate lighting, which I talk about in my videos on Green Screen. Also, if it's something that is more related to the sides/edges, consider cropping the sides of your video, but be careful not to cut out what's relevant in the video.
