Such a good video! It would be great if you could do videos like this on trees/mosses etc. Your channel is my favorite, thanks for putting so much effort into each video :)
please do a video on how to identify weeds! being a gardener, i constantly pull weeds, and it seems like there's SO many out there. so it would be nice to have your input/tips! love the video btw, thanks for all your hard work
What I would love to know, as someone who’s trying to get into foraging and identifying all sorts of plants, is how people deal with the bugs!!! 😖😖😖 I have such an awful fear of bugs. there are some that I can handle, mostly ones that move slowly and are “pretty” like ladybugs. But flies, spiders, and especially mosquitos torment me, whether because they look horrible or because I know they could make me sick (in the case of mosquitos) Like I’m really trying to make myself not hate them since obviously a fear of bugs doesn’t bode well for foraging lmao but how do you do it! I have managed to make myself actually like some bugs once I learned how useful they are, like bees and even wasps which I used to hate, but now know they’re also pollinators and thus essential. But god is it difficult. And is using bug spray acceptable for fending off mosquitos? Does learning more about nature mean you have to accept getting painful bites from bugs? Finding bugs in your room? Please how do people deal with them I need to know 😭
Personally I just got used to them at some point. You just need to know which bugs are dangerous and what to do if they bit you, in my area there isn't a lot of really dangerous insects, so there aren't many to remember. I also use anti-mosquito and anti-tick sprays.
Oh I am sorry to hear you struggle so much with bugs! I guess personally I am not super bothered by them but it can definitely be a bit itchy or overwhelming at times. Maybe bug sprays could be an option for you? Or maybe wearing clothes that fully cover your body + a hat for better comfy feelings in fear of bugs touching your skin?? I am really not super sure but I do hope you find a way to go on walks / forage without getting too overwhelmed and uncomfortable about insects.. I do definitely get bugs in my room and such , I just gentle pop them outside and say goodbye lol , they seem scary but I think they just as scared in our strange little indoor homes and such .. maybe try think from their perspective and see how that feels? they just living their lives and doing their bug things and eating and reproducing etc :) very lovely creatures!!
How can I meet you , one day , there are very few people remain like you , i am from India and following your channel from starting , it's like someone in behalf of me talking my feeling
