yours are the only aquarium videos i watch at this point. so calming, so down-to-earth, nothing flashy or clickbait-y or condescending like other channels. its nice to watch someone with beautiful, well-kept, naturalistic tanks showing that aquariums don't have to be massive 8-foot tanks with huge rare fish to be amazing. i have two 10 gallon planted tanks (one with male blue star endlers, the other with chili rasboras) and your stuff is so inspiring to me! plus, your videos have reminded me to enjoy the maintenance of aquariums instead of it being a chore. now i look forward to maintenance day (most of the time, at least)! keep up the amazing stuff :)
I greatly appreciate your comment. So glad you like the format. I really just want to replicate exactly how I feel when the cameras aren’t rolling. It’s a labor of love of all of us
@@WorldofWhasian so well put, it is a labor of love. i can happily say that every time a video of yours ends, i walk right over to my own tanks and just appreciate them for a while. your videos remind me of what i love about the hobby :)
I have had no luck with Moss when I have tried to use it in the past, I will try it again eventually. I have heard from others that it's easier to remove it from where you don't want it then to try to get it to grow where you do want it
my fav thing abt pennywort in nano tanks is that it grows so fast, but usually out of the tank lol. still lets in plenty of light without needing a ton of trimming back
I love the desk top tank! I would love to see you do a proper Dutch style red planted tank at some point. I've been toying around with negative space lately in my stuff and I find it creates great contrast between the fish, hardscape and plants.
Use a round air tube connected to both ends , float it on a one part of the tank on the surface, and put only salvinia minima in the center of that round floating tube thingy! It will keep salvinia in one place and keep it from floating all around and it will stay only at one place so the light can reach bottom part of the tank ! 🙂👍 Also add hydrocotyle japan half underwater and half on outside drifwood where the taiwan moss is. That would look amazing ! I did same and now its growing emersed and providing co2 from air to underwater portion of the same plant!
Looking pretty wild but the great kind of wild... It's not always the best thing to deal with but oneo of the best ways to get a healthy aquarium. I'm not sure how anything can be as prolific as Duckweed and Giant Duck weed. Which for a few weeks I was trying to figure out what I had, In the 20 years of keeping fish with plants I had never heard of Giant Duck weed. So this little floating plant that was very slow in the beginning was also in my Amazon sword plant generator 🤔 , my 75 gallon which has a lot of water flow so as soon as I added some to my 90B In a few days I have never seen anything come close like that . Crazy !!! Hopefully you have all your systems dialed and to me that just means we can sit down and almost every time relax since it's running itself Aquascapers should always have something comfortable almost a hypnotic chair or beanbag to relax and enjoy our creations 🌊
Even following ada attachment tips, my moss sucks. Grows out great, but I guess my trimming is lacking. Great vid and beautiful tank per the usual! Thanks for the inspiration.
i love doing water changes with you in the background so much. also if i may suggest something, you could add giant duckweed to this tank rather than salvinia, i think it'll look great
Me thinking that bro needs to make a video with fish for thought
Yeeeees

Did you just spit out some Cantonese casually??? My parents are from Hong Kong originally! Nice to hear :). So much growth in that tank - well done!
Thank you! I was born in Taiwan and moved to the US shortly after!
@@WorldofWhasian that's so cool! International baby~
I'd like to see more shrimp footage :)
i agree, I'm just now realizing there's like no shots of shrimp in here. 🤦♂️
I see duckweed and think... "now I'd have to move". 😱

"I used a Hello Kitty fork in the past and it didn't really work out so well, so... Doraemon fork it is" Me: *furiously taking notes*

Take the salvinia out, wrap the long pennywort strand around the emersed driftwood and let the pennywort become the new "floater" up top 😂

Hi! *waves excitedly*

Duckweed is crazy. lol
The best aquarium content hands down
yo! Kinda obsessed with the Pennywort man but to be honest I'm more obsessed with the Doreamon fork 😤

YEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!
Haha that intro is great
You’re up next bro
uh oh!
How often do u do water changes ? And how frequently do you use fertiliser ?
how long do you turn the lamp for a day? hope you grow as always man!
From WTF to OMG :)
🤣🤣🤣
15:40 vallisneria nana..?
Do you feed the fry in the tank?
yes! Little bits of frozen daphnia and cyclops
@@WorldofWhasian awesome thanks! I’ve been wanting to start my own planetarium like this, and I currently have new platy fry
How to make water change?
Why the need for so many floating plants? I want to see the fish and plants underneath.
I blink once and they appear. I remove them and they appear again 😂
My pennywort always dries out and wilts if not fully submerged :(
Yeah I feel that. Humidity is just too low where I live.
What type of salvinia is that?
This is salvinia minima
@@WorldofWhasian thanks mate
