- The racers at the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill in Snowshoe, West Virginia, were pushing their limits today in training. Weather started out foggy, but the track remained generally slick and tricky the entire day. Rocks and roots stayed greasy, but speeds were high.

I just want to say a huge thanks to John and Vital for doing these fantastic RAW videos. Especially this year, with all of the new changes, I'm enjoying them much more than the actual racing. The video quality and camera work is second to none and we don't have to listen to some of the worst commentating in cycling. Thank you all.
Our pleasure!
Nothing phases Jackson, wild man. Loris is looking smooth but def rooting for the big man Dak! Let’s go boi
Sometimes it’s nice to see the top riders in the world struggle lol
The level of no-brakes commitment in the mossiest, slippiest rocky section... insane. Gotta put brain in bucket and not think about hitting the rocks if you get offline.
Ain't nobody having a "perfect race" this weekend. So many things trying to catch you out on this track!!
That look-back at the end. Goldstone is so awesome to watch. 🤯
Absolutely brutal. Holy cow.
The absolute living legend Rob Warner, the man who knows how to entertain! I was wondering with Rob having a bit more free time these days if he had heard that film producers are doin a remake of Steptoe & Son as they are looking for someone who's a bit of dead ringer for Harold 😂
Probably the best sounding track so far this year
9:08 Flying into the entrance of the rock garden! Solid.
once again Vital RAW is the shit, cant wait for this race, lots of my youth on a bike spent in WV, hyped
Damn, those rock garden are brutal 😬
Some spots the dirt looks almost perfect but I'm sure the rocks still are mud-glazed and slick. The chute after the double drop looks almost perfect conditions. Quite a bit better traction than yesterday's footage from others. Still a damp mossy rocky rooty woods, generally, even if the sun prevails weatherwise. That's Appalachia for you, damp rocky rooty mossy & often muddy.
Loic looks pinned & hovercraft as usual. Dakotah looks confident and properly attacking. Vali's level of riding, now that she has her confidence, is impressive. Tahnee looks pretty close to full form too. This will be a good one. As Warner said, this track "has nowhere to hide."
Awesome riders.
Tough terrain, especially when wet…
I love the sound of the tires and suspension working!
The conditions look perfect
love this videos!
This place looks like hell to ride.
Crazy how its so different from this perspective. Watching BK on his channel it looks a whole lot tamer lol
NICE TO SEE ROB THERE,MAYBE HE CAN TEACH THE COMMENTARY HOW ITS DONE, BRING BACK ROB FROM CHRISTCHURCH NZ
King Rob 👑 g8 to c the legend
Snowshoe is rad but I wish they would return back to Mt Snow VT . That dh was so rad.
That hurt a lot!
LET'S GO DAK
God these dudes are flying. How big we think those last 2 jumps are?
Tough place to be a wheel
🔥🔥🔥🔥
dude nice camera work
I just mean in these videos. Every once and awhile we some slow assed guy in the cuts.
More of Richard
Jordan at 9:08 wth
I’d love to see a sport class racer take this and see just how slow we are compared!
It would be very interesting to get helmet/chest cam footage from: beginner, intermediate, Sport racer, Expert racer, regional Pro racer, and top 25 UCI World Cup Pro racer. If you started with the slowest it would be entertaining. If you started with the fastest and worked backward you may not last past the top 3 fastest.
@@seanoneil277 Downhill Southeast series ran there in June, Super Sweeper Asa won overall with a 3:26, Cat 1 17/18 was 3:47 Cat 1 19-29 was 3:59, Cat 1 30+ was 3:51
I'm not exactly sure what differences were with the track however. They could have gone off the 1st rock drop past the V tree
Who's on that black and gold V10 on Ohlin suspension?
Could be the Union team with Christian hauser and Frida
Definition of bike abuse. Absolutely love it!
what is the pink fungus on the rocks ?
Spray paint to mark the rock edges
