How To Make A Magnolia Gum Paste Flower

Create a simple Magnolia flower in Sugar Florist Paste or Gum paste for any birthday or celebration cake design. Super easy to do, using a petal cutter or hand cutting these shapes out.
You just need a few tools , with my list of items below;
24 Gauge florsit wire
18 Gauge Florist Wire
Florist Tape
Squires Kitchen Sugar Florist Paste - Good quality flower gum paste
Cream Gel Colour
Cel Cake Veining Board
Magnolia Flower Cutter Set ( optional)
Foam Bad
Non stick rolling pin
Ball Tool
Sewing scissors

How do I stop the petals spinning on the wire? They never stay in place on the wire! Thanks

Use cotton wrapped florist wire. Then make sure to pinch the gum paste on the wire from the bottom. And leave for 24 hours is you are having this problem. I will make a video in the next few days just on this problem and show you how to fix it.

Do not store in the fridge. These are ok to leave out when made and will keep. They dry hard.
