Anyone in the future who is wondering what the problem might be, since the video did not show the repair. Basically, on the bottom of the camera, take out the three screws and remove the bottom cover. Next look around a bit for a small lever. It's not very obvious, but you will find it. Tinker around, just don't force anything. You'll tap or push a lever very so lightly and that should fix it. Again, you don't need to force things, just a slight move of a metal piece. I managed to fix the issue in less than 15 minutes with nothing more than a Swiss Army Knife to take the screws off the bottom.
I got yashica tl electro x from my father. All working fine, except for the lever transport. So every time i move and release the lever, shutter release immediately without even pressing the shutter button. Can you tell me what is wrong with my camera? Sorry for my bad english. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank You
Yes I'm sorry, obviously I forgot to film this part since I was looking for the reason by myself... If I remember correctly opening the camera the way showed in the video wasn't even neccesary! The problem was on the lower side of the camera. This disassembly is very easy and if you open it, you can find the problem very easy. Sadly this was not my camera and I don't own it anymore, but I hope this helped you

So I just go my camera yesterday from a flea market. I've never owned an actual camera and was hoping you could help. I don't any terminology. The black lever you crank back won't go very far and I'm not sure if that's what you are fixing. Please Help.
Thx Eugen I'm trying to disassemble the front C/Y mount of a Contax RTS because the aperture notification ring is no more attached. A spring must have gone. I unscrewed the 4 front ring, then the 3 copper screws. Then... I hesitate. Have you done it and what's the right way to access to the aperture notification ring ?
plz reply to me as fast as possible ..Now the Shutter swing ( i dont know its name ) is now going everywhere and not working i tried to remove the screw when i removed it it made a sound that it was stuck and when i pressed the shutter ir worked but when i replaced it again .i think i over pressed on the Screw that made the hole in that swing that connects it with the Machine Became bigger and not Sticking with the machine .What should i Do get a new Swing ?!
i cant get the ring around the release button off. in the video you just open it with your fingers but that is not possible for me, it is far too tight. any tips would be appreciated. would wd40-ing the button to loosen the screw mess anything up?
Hello Tony, I don't think wd40 would reach the thread. I would try it with a leather cloth and some sort of clamp to get better grip and not scratch the release knob.
Hi, i got my fx3 repaired, well not totally repaired, since the only problem was the battery cap got destroyed, i can't open it with a coin, so i decided to go to the camera shop for a replacement of the cap. Then after some time, the mirror keeps on getting stuck, it wasn't a problem before i went to the shop. Any idea why it happened?
I didn't realize which hook it was because it happened off camera and didn't need any force. So I simply didn't know how I can reproduce the stuck shutter. I am no professional and this was my first time doing something like that. Maybe because of that I restricted the advance lever or it simply was not returning back by itself :)
@@h07d0q Watch the video. You were holding the lever and resisting its natural return movement. If you are an amateur, why are you doing instructional vids?
@@rakautzphoto6901 what are you trying to achieve? If you don't like the video go on. When I uploaded the video I didn't find any video someone showing how to open the camera. Extremely helpful comment! Just fixed my shutter because of you.

What type of battery should you use ? I can't find the reference 🙁
At least I know now how to open my FR1.
Eugene ; You should show how to dismantle a lens.

i would never dare to disassemble a camera like that :O
If it's not broken, don't disassemble it ;)

YAHOO have you tried to loosen or remove the cap? Maybe the new cap adds higher stress so that the shutter gets stuck?
Eugen Hottmann I have, is it possible that the cap adds stress? I don't see the connection
Well, did it work without the cap? The thread in the cap and case adds strain to the case if the cap gets tightened too hard.
How did you remove that piece at 2:25 , I'm trying but nothing works, Im just straching the thing
Try with a needle and remove the dirt in the gap. The piece is glued...
Im trying wuth the needle right now but ts not working, btw thank you for the fast reply
I opened it finally but i dont see the thing where its stuck
Have you tried to free it like PhD executive explained in the pinned comment?
Why are you restricting the advance lever after cocking it? Let it return on its own. Also, why didn't you show the hook you mentioned?

What's the point of opening a camera and not showing what the real problem is.
Just read the other comments
I was expecting somethging from you video, but ....nothing quite useless I am sorry
But you could have read the comments. Maybe you take a better video of your problem and how you solve it?
Wast of time show the problem..
Well that is 7mins of my life wasted learned nothing why bother it dosnt show the fix
