The Pope is not merely a heretic, but an Apostate. The Patristic theologians were only making an anthropological assertion when referencing "pagan religions partaking in the light of Christ"; they were not making a theological argument or assertion. To speak of ecumenism without the primacy of Christ and need for Water Baptism and conversion is disingenuous at best. Regardless of Bergoglio's own concern for political expedience, lack of clarification on his current teachings is not mere material heresy, but literal Apostacy. So sad to see a valid Pope also become the first Apostate Pope in History.
Jesus' Great Commission includes the following imperatives. 1) Evangelize, 2) Preach/Proselytize, 3) Convert, 4) Trinitarian Water Baptism. An exclusion of any of these elements is to presume that one knows better than Jesus Christ Himself. This was precisely the Sin of Judas and Betrayal of Jesus' ministry. Judas was also an Apostle, who also believed he knew better than Jesus, what the Messiah would entail, and falsely believed that by turning Jesus in and avoiding the Cross, Judas could save the Ministry of Christ.

Read paragraph 843: The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as “a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life.” But the problem occurred when Francis stated, “But my God is more important than yours!’ Is this true?” He basically said Christ is no better than any other God. That’s where he got himself into trouble.

It also says a couple verses further not to call anyone Teacher. These are titles they have nothing to do with the Pope or a priest .
Maybe you need to have kids sometime and when they call you father you can correct them and when they tell you the teacher a the school said such and such you can again tell them to call the teacher something else. READ the CONTEXT don't fall for a word that sounds good to your argument.

It must not be denied that Christ Our Lord has given us many intermediaries between Himself and us that we ought to seek.
If you can remember, Our Lord stated to a woman asking Him for a simple judiciary matter that He Himself is not the judge of such matters, but God instituted judges on earth that should deal with these cases. Our Lord did not mean that He is not able to give sentence in a legal case, but He meant that people should seek the authorities that God instituted on earth and in heaven before they approach the highest authority of the Messiah.
The most notable intermediary is Our Lord's own Mother, the Mother of God, who we rightfully call Our Lady.
If he isn't ALL in for the Catholic Church, he could and should vacate the Papacy. He has ONE job - to lead the CATHOLIC church. His only concern should be for the salvation of souls by way of the Catholic Church. God, please bless the Pope to do Your perfect and Holy Will.

I am a practicing Catholic. I remember having an argument one time with a Muslim who argued that the only true path to Heaven was the Muslim path. My retort went as follows "what about someone in the middle of the jungle who never heard from anybody outside of his community but adores perhaps The Moon as his God. Would your God condemn to Hell for all eternity because he did not adore The One True God?"

With a heavy heart and with love for the holy father, I must say that it is indeed time for a group of faithful Cardinals and Bishops to meet to not only make a formal statement rejecting this clear heresy, but to take steps in accordance with Apostolic Tradition, the Catechism and Canon law to organise a Church Tribunal where the Pope will be questioned formally on his views in key areas of the Catholic faith and removed as Pope if found not to profess the Catholic faith. To do nothing now and rest on their laurels, as it were, is for the Bishops and Cardinals to greatly scandalise the faithful, and to de facto deny Our Lord Jesus before men by abrogating their most basic duties as successors of the Apostles. For me as a faithful Catholic, and no doubt for many like me, this clear heresy from the Vatican on the most fundamental pillar of our faith (Dominus Iesus) is one step too far. He is a duly elected Pope who has fallen short of the duties of his office. He is supposed to teach the faith with every greater clarity and without attenuation as Pope John XXIII prayed for at the opening of the Second Vatican Council. We are still waiting for that to happen.

As a newer catholic I have to lean that way too, I sometimes wonder if this Pope was put down to test our faith. History has shown this happens from time to time, like during the reformation when huge sections broke off for many other reasons. But the Church always survives and reforms for the better.

Bergoglio is not the pope, the conclave is invalid, Pope Benedict XVI never renounced the "Munus Petrino", he only renounced the "Ministerium", that is the active exercise of being the pope, but not the title (which was given to him by God), therefore according to the canons of the Catholic Church, the conclave is invalid.
I remember an Episcopal Priest asserting that all religions lead to God. I thought this was a ridiculous claim. If all religions lead to God, Jesus wouldn't have been crucified for the sins of the World. God sent His only Son to save us from sin. God did not send Buddha, Mohammed, or any other Being to save us from sin. Only Jesus can save us. The Pope is leading people astray with his false claim. God will not be pleased with him.

I need to share.. you are taking this out of context. Our pope was in a interreligious dialogue. There were Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and other religious heads in that meeting. Singapore is a multi religious country, but is able to forge a harmonious relationships due to working on understanding each other and looking for similarities. This is the way of peace.. to not fight but to seek to find common ground and understand. Our pope sees that and is affirming that. Do not misunderstand.
