I've actually traced the original Cambodian ear piece in it's actual size and made a couple of them using doubling scrapbook paper, foil paper, a blade, glue, hot glue and sequins. It would be nice to own the actual ones, but I've made several designs based of the original. And yes, It is difficult to distinguish the Thais from the Khmer ones, from my experiences, in plain view, Khmer is typically just gold, some with diamonds, a couple colored gems, indents and carved detailing. As for Thai, the shape is more exaggerated and decorated with more colored gemstones. It's really about how exaggerated, if that helps. P.S. I'm glad to know these kind of videos exist(preserving culture)

Originated from Khmer in the Angkorian Empire. Khmer is an ethnicity which made up the majority of Cambodians today but you can be Khmer Krom(Vietnamese) or Khmer Thai...Laos etc.
