Bisho - With end user driven data classification all new generated data is assured to be classified but relevant "old data" is also classified as users try to send, save or print those legacy documents.

@Bisho M. Yes you can. Boldon James has another element within their Classifier suite called Power Classifier, which enables you to 'bulk' label documents. Therefore, you can classify and protect current and legacy documents.

Another good way to classify legacy or old data by using "data classification service" which can discover sensitive data in file shares, onedrive or box and label the documents by applying visual markings and metadata.
