500 Days of Summer is advertised as a story about love, not a love story. I liked that it's mostly about Tom trying to get over Summer, and moving on with his life.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. From the trailers alone, it was obvious it was going to be a breakup movie but little did anyone know it would be about finding love again and pursuing your dreams.
I'm pretty happy to see that 50 First Dates is on the list. It made me laugh and it warmed my heart. I've never loved anyone enough to want to make them fall in love with me over and over again. However, that is a beautiful thing that I can appreciate the hell out of. Now that is devotion.
Not only do I agree with almost all of your points and quips, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how your amazing sweet British accent sounds when you say, “it has a {insert %} on Rotten Tomatoes (sounds like {toe-m-o-o-o-toes} which ends up sounding both educated and whimsical at the same time! You go Ms. Mojo!!!! I’m a fan for sure forever! 😊💙
Robin Wright needs to be cast as Henry's mother (and heir apparent) in the Red, White and Royal Blue sequel. They look like mother and son. Her nickname could be "Buttercup".
Here are some of my favorites. Moonstruck 10 Things I hate about you A walk to remember A fault in our stars Sleepless in Seattle Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
How is it that half the titles in the top 10, couples don't end up staying together? Kinda sad. But I suppose not all love stories end up happy. I think the Princess Bride should be #1. It doesn't have to be an award winning movie or gross the most money. It just is the full package. Action, adventure, romance and comedy. What else can you ask for?
Im a guy. Me and my guy friends are writers and are really into music. Becuase of this we love romance movies. The top three in no specific orders for us are, La la land, 500 days of summer, and little women. One thing that we do certainly put lower on the list of romance movies are the typical "bad boy" "good girl" trope where she falls for him then he does one good thing and she sees him as a good person and they end up together. Im not sure why writers these days think this formula is good. It sucks that it still sells so much i still see atleast 2 movies and or show with this premise every year. I guess it appeals to the female audience but to us its an eye roll. Everytime we watch these its as if the only thing holding the romance is sex or the guy is really good looking.
"Lost in Translation" can be an effective movie. But if you turn it into a "romance", well, with the age difference...that makes it creepy. So, it shouldn't be on the list. And those who would put it #3 have daddy issues...or want to be the "daddy".
I've seen all of the films on your list. I'd rearrange the order, but I also disagree with at least one of them. I just don't like Adam Sandler or Dew Barrymore in movies, especially not together in 50 First Dates and Happy Gilmore. I also think Sleepless in Seattle (which I'd put in the top 5) could at least have been selected as a tie with the film it was inspired by, 1957's An Affair to Remember (or even the 1939 Love Affair).
I bet me and my future girlfriend will watch these movies some time in the future. In the meantime, have a happy monday afternoon Ms Mojo. take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Three honorable mentions should have been Always with Richard Dreyfuss, Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Dirty Dancing also with Patrick Swayze. These were the favorite movies of a former boyfriend.
Neither I or any of my male friends, that I know of, liked Titanic. Also, 50 First Dates is a yea but The Wedding Singer isn’t on the list? That surprises me. I much prefer the latter.
I absolutely loved both Sleepless In Seattle and You Got Mail, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks make it look so easy when falling in love together and they have great on-screen chemistry in both movies. Sorry that they didn't do a few more together.
What guys did you talk to for this video? No Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Something's Gotta Give, Brown Sugar, About Last Night, The American President, Crazy Rich Asians, or Hitch?
As a guy my favorite romantic movies are Forgetting Sarah Marshall 40 Year Old Virgin Just Friends She's Out of my League Warm Bodies Beauty and the Beast A Star is Born Three Thousand Years of Longing
I myself am NOT a fan of Jim Carrey's '90s comedies , but this movie (Eternal sunshine) is NOT A COMEDY: Jim is serious throughout this movie (it's regarded by many as one of his BEST drama acting)
Number 8 I think...before the princess bride...summary sounded like same time next year in a way. Loose remake? Like You've Got Mail (Shop around the corner)?
where's Elizabethtown?, it is not only the best Cameron Crowe movie... has an amazing sound track, a heartfelt story about family and personal growth and the central love story it's very organic and well made... easily one of my top five romantics movies of all time...
Although this is a bollywood film ddlj deserves to be on this list. It's one of those films that should me what real love really is more so then titanic did tbh but thats just my opinion.
Titanic is sappy and 'over the top.' Honestly, whenever the topic of this movie came up, my friends could only remember the naked painting scene and declare the whole movie 'dirty. '😅 None of us bothered about the actual story (the ship hitting the iceberg, Jack drowning, etc.).
If you think about it, 50 First Dates is kind or creepy. Imagine having no memory and waking up to some guy saying he's your boyfriend, then waking up to your wedding day, and months pregnant. For all her character knows, he could be an obsessive stalker.
High Fidelity 5000 Day of Summer Before Sunrise Are great movies , about the complexity of relationship when love should be easy. Others great Are: -Ghost -Definitely May be -One Day -Splendor in the grass -Snow falling on the cedars - Maria' Lovers -Doctor Zhivago And my numer one favorite CINEMA PARADISO About great LOVE inspite the imposibilty of being toegether...
Top 10 romance movies: Better off dead, The lobster, The last American virgin, The virgin suicides, The hours, The 40 year old virgin, Archies final project, Blue valentine, Her, Leaving Las Vegas.
Love Potion #9, Moonstruck, Some like it hot, a star is born (2018,) ever after, fools gold, forget Paris, and, I know they are TV series, but Outlander and Game of Thrones (nudity, violence, and good storytelling; who could ask for anything more)
Here I am, praising these choices, and then When Harry Met Sally is #4. Seriously? The only movie that had any argument to beat When Harry met Sally was The Princess Bride. In no way are Lost in Translation, the Graduate, or Titanic over When Harry Met Sally.
What if your girlfriend didn't like it? Not a joke, it's one of my favorite movies, she never saw it so I put in my Blueray copy, and she seriously didn't like it. I guess it's what I get for dating a girl half my age. 😁

‘The Princess Bride’, one of the best romantic comedy/revenge movies of all time.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I Love The Princess Bride!
How it is only #6 and not #1 is in my opinion underrating the film.
I’m a guy and it’s actually my favorite movie of all time.
500 Days of Summer is advertised as a story about love, not a love story. I liked that it's mostly about Tom trying to get over Summer, and moving on with his life.
And her falling in love with someone else, soon after saying she doesn't do love.
@@davidz3879or about the first guy harassing her
I love it, not for the story. But how the story was told.
@@mrmusicknowledge6354you tried to be poetic but it was a flop.😂
‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ is my personal favorite romantic comedy movie.
Jason Segel did a great job as both film writer and film actor.
🙂
I think Moonstruck could have also made the list
Snap out of it! 🙂
"The Princess Bride" should have been first on this list. My husband and I love watching this movie together!
Simple smile can make you happy and Simple music can make you sing and I hope my hello can make you smile ,
How are you doing beautiful angel
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. From the trailers alone, it was obvious it was going to be a breakup movie but little did anyone know it would be about finding love again and pursuing your dreams.
Oh, that is a great choice. Loved that movie... I'm going to have to buy it now. One of many movies I need to round up.
The Princess Bride is without question #1. It's "inconceivable" that it wasn't placed there!
When Harry Met Sally is truly one of the best out there. I can see exactly why men would like it. It's funny but heartfelt.
I'm pretty happy to see that 50 First Dates is on the list. It made me laugh and it warmed my heart. I've never loved anyone enough to want to make them fall in love with me over and over again. However, that is a beautiful thing that I can appreciate the hell out of. Now that is devotion.
I love this movie
About Time should be on this list!!!!!!
Watching The Princess Bride in elementary was hilarious!😆🏫
There's no romance in Lost in Translation.
My husband and I watched it and thought it a total waste of time and money.
@@phyl1042 Not much happens. I'm baffled at it being successful, highly regarded & described as a romcom.
I’m not a fan of Lost in Translation.
The Notebook had me 😭😭😭😭😭😭.
It should be number 1!!!
Just curious please which film or lines from different films please do you like the most ??
Every guy I know that I have shown My Best Friend's Wedding has loved it.
Love the princess bride one of my favorite movies.
How about Pretty Woman????
I LOVE THE PRINCESS BRIDE!
I would add Joe Verses the Volcano on this- most people have never heard of it & it's a jewel!
Simple smile can make you happy and Simple music can make you sing and I hope my hello can make you smile,
How are you doing beautiful angel
Robin Wright needs to be cast as Henry's mother (and heir apparent) in the Red, White and Royal Blue sequel. They look like mother and son. Her nickname could be "Buttercup".
Here are some of my favorites.
Moonstruck
10 Things I hate about you
A walk to remember
A fault in our stars
Sleepless in Seattle
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Checked and agreed to.
Da fuuuuuu**! Such a great freaking list and you end up given number one to Titanic? Naaaaaaaahhhhhh
Overrated, isn't it?
Sorry you had me all the way to Titanic. It doesn’t appeal to me. Overhyped. But that’s me. Loved Knotting Hill as well. Cheers.
Princess bride isnt even in the Top FIVE..... it should be Number 1
The fact that The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally aren't 1 and 2 invalidates the whole video
These romantic movies sure are iconic for many reasons. Thanks for making a video on them.
The English Patient "Lashings of hugs, all 'round!"
Love 500 Days of Summer, the Before Trilogy and The Princess Bride! ❤❤❤
0:00 this scene was parodied in an episode of "Family Guy" in which the old man refuses to stop reading for his grandson😂😂😂😂
Agreed!
Loved "Casablanca" since I was 12. Still such an iconic movie.
Im a guy. Me and my guy friends are writers and are really into music. Becuase of this we love romance movies. The top three in no specific orders for us are, La la land, 500 days of summer, and little women.

WTF!!! How did you overlook "Jerry Maguire"!?! It's mind-boggeling.
I’m surprised Hitch wasn’t on the list
totally sleeping on A Knight's Tale
"Lost in Translation" can be an effective movie. But if you turn it into a "romance", well, with the age difference...that makes it creepy. So, it shouldn't be on the list. And those who would put it #3 have daddy issues...or want to be the "daddy".
HOW IS “PRINCESS BRIDE” NOT HIGHER?!?!?!? 😭😭😭

The Princess Bride is my dad’s favorite movie actually 😂 It’s also my mom’s second favorite movie. And it’s one of my favorite movies too!
Neither I or any of my male friends, that I know of, liked Titanic.
Also, 50 First Dates is a yea but The Wedding Singer isn’t on the list? That surprises me. I much prefer the latter.
I don’t know any straight guys that like Titanic.
Movies missing:
- Notting Hill, which is an inverted version of Pretty Woman for guys
- you've got mail
How is The Princess Bride only at number 6? Did you use a random number generator to order these films?
I consider Princess Bride more of a comedy than a chick flick.
Who said "chick flick"? This is a list of romantic comedies, which the Princess Bride definitely qualifies as.
I absolutely loved both Sleepless In Seattle and You Got Mail, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks make it look so easy when falling in love together and they have great on-screen chemistry in both movies. Sorry that they didn't do a few more together.
I love You Got Mail
What guys did you talk to for this video? No Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Something's Gotta Give, Brown Sugar, About Last Night, The American President, Crazy Rich Asians, or Hitch?
Yes! High Fidelity!
As a guy my favorite romantic movies are
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
40 Year Old Virgin
Just Friends
She's Out of my League
Warm Bodies
Beauty and the Beast
A Star is Born
Three Thousand Years of Longing
How about My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Serendipity?
You're right, good pick
HOW DARE YOU PUT THE PRINCESS BRIDE AS #6! IT'S NUMBER 1!!!
Genuinely shocked you didn't include the Proposal. Ryan Reynolds is a treat for everyone.
I'm a person who does NOT like Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
Cannot sit through a Jim Carey film
I have never seen it, and I don't don't plan to. But I like some of the work Jim Carey has done: the Truman Show, and The Majestic are some of them
I myself am NOT a fan of Jim Carrey's '90s comedies , but this movie (Eternal sunshine) is NOT A COMEDY: Jim is serious throughout this movie (it's regarded by many as one of his BEST drama acting)
I doubt my husband would watch any of these movie except for The Princess Bride.
I would've included Amelie.
I love Amelie! I need to watch it again.
I named one of my WOW characters Joanwilder, and every fricken day some whispered "Hey Great Movie".
Huh. I didn't realize I was only going towards the into of these movies. Princess Bride and 50 first dates....... And The wedding Singer 🤣🤣🤣
I’d argue true lies is a romantic comedy. Funnier than 4 weddings and a funeral. A guy who loves rom coms here. Big crush on Meg Ryan as teen
Me: Let me guess. Number 1 is Titanic.
MsMojo Lady: “Number 1: Titanic.”
Me: Called it!
Any romantic movie that had the best greeting, introduction, intention in cinema history is my favorite... Right Inigo?
Number 8 I think...before the princess bride...summary sounded like same time next year in a way. Loose remake? Like You've Got Mail (Shop around the corner)?
will forever LOVE titanic ❤❤
The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended
This Doesn't Count But Crocodile Dundee (1986) Heck Paul Hogan married the actress who played his love Interest In real life
They're divorced now.

I'm so happy Titanic is number one and it's my favorite movie of all time.
You are a girl. For me Titanic is not my cup of tea: it's a girl's flick.
Titanic is sappy and 'over the top.'
Honestly, whenever the topic of this movie came up, my friends could only remember the naked painting scene and declare the whole movie 'dirty. '😅
None of us bothered about the actual story (the ship hitting the iceberg, Jack drowning, etc.).
Mine is Tattoo Heart: love becomes a dragon
Kayla Marie she sleeping with Chris Pine.
What about Silver Linings Playbook
No. That film's overrated.
Seems like I'm one of 5 people in the world who didn't really care for La La Land or When Harry Met Sally and never cared to see The Graduate.
Add me to that list
If you think about it, 50 First Dates is kind or creepy. Imagine having no memory and waking up to some guy saying he's your boyfriend, then waking up to your wedding day, and months pregnant. For all her character knows, he could be an obsessive stalker.
Most movies are creepy
I did not like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and nobody I've ever talked to about it liked it either.
Very deserving first place.
My spouse loves Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Groundhog Day!!
‘Casablanca’ is still one of the best damn Hollywood movies ever made.

High Fidelity even has an appearance from Bruce Springsteen!
love actually should have been much higher on this list!!!!
Moonstruck?
How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. Dh loved it
As a 0:00 member of the male community, yes on the thumbnail.. 😁😁
Jerry Maguire should've been #1
Agree with you
Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Love Potion #9, Moonstruck, Some like it hot, a star is born (2018,) ever after, fools gold, forget Paris, and, I know they are TV series, but Outlander and Game of Thrones (nudity, violence, and good storytelling; who could ask for anything more)
La la land???? No way!!!
Yes, la la land. I'm a guy and I love it.
Here I am, praising these choices, and then When Harry Met Sally is #4. Seriously? The only movie that had any argument to beat When Harry met Sally was The Princess Bride. In no way are Lost in Translation, the Graduate, or Titanic over When Harry Met Sally.
My favourite movie is titanic
Simple smile can make you happy and Simple music can make you sing and I hope my hello can make you smile, How are you doing today beautiful angel
What if your girlfriend didn't like it? Not a joke, it's one of my favorite movies, she never saw it so I put in my Blueray copy, and she seriously didn't like it. I guess it's what I get for dating a girl half my age. 😁
What about the proposal or how to lose a guy in 10 days… lol
Where is The Proposal or Deadpool
