I am here in Africa, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼.
This is an important ministry you are leading Dr Flowers and your team.
Its a big resource forestry from whence we get rightful and insightful information about our common faith.
Here in Africa and in particular my country, Calvinism is less pronounced.
Few know about it, but these Calvinists are beginning to make steady in-roads into streets and communities as does Adventists, Mormon's, Branhamites and JW's which groups are entrenched here.
Calvinists are so subtle, few realise they led astray when they are already entangled in there.

@@AllforOne_OneforAll1689 I've also studied them. When you try to fit a calvinist explanation you end up foregoing many other verses that clearly state we have a choice in the matter. Of course, without Jesus dying on the cross, then any and all choices become moot. But because He did die on the cross we have the option to become children of God.
John 4:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
You can see that the key word is "believe on his name". That action in itself is not a work as stated in Romans 3:27, "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith." (KJV)
You have to claim that faith is a work for our choice to believe to become invalid. I've seen people go through some mental gymnastics just to try and explain how faith is indeed a work even when scripture says it isn't.
Anyways, I recommend Mike Winger's videos on this subject. If you have anyone else you can recommend me I'll happily keep looking into your proposed ideas. I am open minded but I haven't seen scripture support Calvinism in any significant way so far.

@@AllforOne_OneforAll1689I’d recommend and encourage you not only read verses that back up your beliefs but take scripture in as a whole. If you do that you’ll see Calvinist beliefs don’t stack up, and context matters. Certain things are predestined in Gods plan but we have free will and choice in the matter of salvation, God has foreknowledge of everything inside His creation (Space, Time, Matter) because He is outside of it. He knows what’s going to happen but He doesn’t choose for us, He just sees our choices. I encourage you to keep searching and listening to Dr Flowers and other good teachers. One of the most revealing passages to me against Calvinism is this:
    Numbers 14:11
    King James Version
11 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
Calvinists seem to me that they pretend to know more theology than God himself. When the Lord asks this question to Moses probably someone should have sent Calvin from the future to explain to God and Moses that they can't believe until He provides them with "irresistible grace" otherwise they can't act upon Moses's prophecies and God's miracles.

If Calvinists understood the human nature God actually created, as described throughout scripture, they would not make illogical, unfounded arguments.
What did God create in humans that causes humans to be obedient AND disobedient?
      Answer: Desire and will.
God created both, human desire and will, without placing any limits on either.
      Love is voluntary, not compulsory.
The same root desire (created by God) that leads a man to love and commit to a woman, is the SAME desire that leads a man to commit adultery.
Scripture instructs us, " control your desires."
Desire is the root of righteousness and the root of rebellion.

Is mystery really a copout? Are there not many mysteries in scripture? Are not God’s ways and God’s thoughts higher than man’s ways and thoughts (Isaiah 55)? Or do we not believe that about God?
Wasn’t it a mystery to our brother Job when he suffered great tribulation as ax righteous man? And God did not even disclose his sovereign prerogative to grant Satan permission to torment Job. You don’t think that was a complete mystery to Job? Not to mention, it was seemingly unloving on God’s part to deliberately NOT reveal the bigger picture. Mystery to Job? I think so.
Was it not a mystery to Joseph, who understood the sovereignty of God, when he was almost killed by his jealous brothers, then sold into slavery, falsely accuse of rape, placed in prison, perhaps for years. And Joseph, like Job was a righteous man. Mystery to Joseph? I think so. It wasn’t until chapter 50 that Joseph tells his brothers that they meant it for evil, but God meant it for God. Which by the way, is a great explanation for the sovereignty of God. Don’t you think.
In Matthew 20, Jesus spoke a parable about a man who hired workers to work in his field. He hired people at different hours of the day. And the days wages were agreed upon. But the man who hired the workers seemingly had the audacity to pay the men who worked only one hour the Danes wages as the ones who worked all day. Now that seems very unloving and unfair. And we would grumble as they did. To the ones hired early in the morning, was it not a mystery why the man refused to pay them more? Not only a mystery, but wouldn’t we be a free at the man for it, as well as for not telling us why?
Look, God could have made heaven on earth. He could have made sure that sin would not enter the garden. He could have. But he didn’t. I think that is a mystery. There could have a thousand other options for God to redeem sinners. But our triune God chose suffering and the way of the cross. Why? We can speculate. But it’s a mystery. And the lake of fire. Why would a loving God through people in hell, FOR ALL ETERNITY? Surely purgatory (and I’m not Catholic) seems more appropriate land more loving than eternal torment for those who simply choose not to believe. There are probably hundreds, maybe thousands of mysteries concerning Gods higher ways that we are NOT privy to. And Our eternal, infinite, omnipotent, perfectly and completely omniscient God is satisfied with not telling us the why’s. In the language of Psalm 115:3 , which Mr. Flower states is a good definition of God’s sovereignty, it PLEASES God to keep some things hidden, or mysteries.
      Unfair? Unloving? Rude? Unjust?
God is God. And we are not. He is perfect and highly exalted. We are sinners, spiritual criminals, and worms at that. AND YET, or BUT GOD, he is rich in mercy, love, and grace, and saves all those who call upon his name. That is a complete and total mystery to me.

The question I ask every Calvinist is that if God chooses to make people on purpose for destruction and only called some for eternal life and most to burn isn't it possible that He actually called you to burn? How do you know God has called you part of the elect over your neighbors? As a result you do all kinds of good works saying, " look at what I'm doing I must be saved. " when the bible says it's a gift lest any man should boast ephesians 2:8-9. The simple fact that you think that you're saved over your neighbors is pride and God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. The bible says in Romans 2:11 there's no partiality with God but the Calvinist says I'm better than you for some reason. 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4 it's the Father's desire that ALL would come to knowledge of forgiveness and not willing that any should perish but He chooses some for eternal life. Serious question: Do you believe you are saved? If you do, then you are elect. Elect from before the foundation of the world as the Bible says in many places.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17. Related, you must be born again. John 3. In short, regeneration precedes faith. Ephesians 2. God through the Holy Spirit makes the first move. He regenerates the fallen soul, and through grace installs faith. God provides (talk about biblical provision!) the means for us to believe in Him in the first place. Ephesians 2:8-9.
The default position of mankind is original sin. Romans 3:23. All of us are doomed until God does something. False religions all over the world are based on the idea of man doing something. Man reaching for God. All of those people will die and go to Hell if they continue down that path. And that is the justice of God. Genesis 6:13. God's right and/or prerogative.
But God can and does extend mercy and grace to some. The elect. Can God do that? Yes. Is God unjust to do that? No. Romans 9. God is instead merciful when He extends mercy and grace to some though less than all. All those others are receiving justice. There is no injustice.
For anyone to say that is unfair or evil to extend mercy to some without extending mercy to all is to blaspheme God. Why? Anytime a person accuses God of not having enough mercy they blaspheme God by attacking His character and/or person. They are accusing God of not being merciful enough. Romans 9:15. ("I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy...")
A/P/Ts believe in a secular humanist theology that depends on "I", "I", "I". It never occurs to them unless they delve deeply into the scriptures that it is Almighty God and Almighty God alone who grants salvation ab initio. God and God alone chooses who is saved and when they are saved. God changes our "want to" through regeneration. Salvation is from the Lord. Jonah 2:9 (and a myriad of other verses anyone can look up). He that hath ears....

Luke 14:26 anyone who comes to Me must hate ( miseo' t love less and love Me more) or they can't be My disciples. You think God sends to hell by His perfect sorveignty while the Bible teaches that God wants everyone to be saved not willing that any should perish. You don't realize the dangers of telling people that the Father is responsible for people going to hell because it switches the credit to the wrong party blaspheming the Holy Spirit, that's why when the pharisees said Christ was doing miracles through satan when it really was the Holy Spirit ( God) they blasphemed the Holy Spirit. You blaspheme the Holy Spirit switching the credit of satan and the person's choice going to Hell to the Father. Obviously you haven't heard this before but these are the facts sorry to tell you. You're blaspheming the Holy Spirit which is never forgiven. Now you know the truth. What you do from here is your call. May we choose wisely

George Whitefield, a Calvinist, was probably the greatest preacher who ever lived. Spurgeon, no mean preacher himself, said that when Whitefield preached at Cambuslang in Scotland it was greater even than Peter's preaching at Pentecost.
John Wesley, an Arminian, and a contemporary and close friend of Whitefield, was probably the greatest administrator and Christian leader who ever lived.
George Whitefield and John Wesley never did come to an agreement over their theological differences but they respected and loved one another as Christian brothers.
At one point, when Wesley appeared to be near his death, Whitfield wrote to Wesley and said, “…a radiant throne awaits you, and ere long you will enter into your master’s joy. Yonder he stands with a massive crown, ready to put it on your head amidst an admiring throng of saints and angels.”

Maybe they will simply tell someone, "Just repeat this prayer after me and if you really meant it you are saved." Jesus taught that unless a person repents, they will perish. Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of actions. We are not sinlessly perfect in this life, but Scripture is clear that we are different from the world. There are so many people who live like devils, but they "believed" so it doesn't matter how they live.

There's a lot of questions I cannot answer about Calvinism but my biggest question to non-Calvinists is:
If Christ was punished for everyones sins, why are there going to be people in hell being punished for their sins?.
If you say its because they rejected Christ, then does that mean Christ didn't die for all sins?.
I had someone saying that the ultimate sin is the sin of unbelief, so does that mean Christ didn't die for all sins e.g sin of unbelief?.
If GOD punished everyones sins on the cross of Christ, doesn't that mean there's no more sin left for GOD to punish?.
Am not about to say that to be saved you need to be a Calvinist, if you believe in Christ ( who He is, what He's done...etc) the word of GOD assures you that you will be saved.

"Calvin's God is now the bully on the playground slapping a little kid with his own arm while mockingly telling him to 'quit hitting' himself."
In Jer. 19:5 God says, "They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind to command such a thing!"
It's repeated in Jer 32:35 "And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’"
It's clear what God is saying. Yet, Calvinists have God denying He has done what Calvinists say He did. If they are telling the truth, this makes God a liar. Calvinists maintain God 'secretly' predestined them to murder their own children to a false God, denies He did, then God publicly punishes them for doing what God decreed they would do.

@@jonathanmcgehee318 I'm happy to try an answer, but I'm not sure I understand your question. If God has determined already what every man will do and has not created man with the ability to choose to do otherwise, then then tells man in scripture to do that which he is powerless to do by God's decree. To me, that is like a bully on a playground slapping a kid with his own arm while mocking him to stop hitting himself.
It's not a quote from someone else, I just applied an illustration from something many of us have seen childhood bullies do.
For me, the question of man's "Total Depravity=Total Inability "from birth" is answered very clearly in Gen. 4, Cain was born no more or less fallen than any other man today but rather in the same spiritual condition as every man born throughout history except for John the Baptist who was filled with the spirit in his mother’s womb.
God speaks to Cain before he has killed his brother in a manner which specifically declares Cain has the ability to do what is right.... i.e. a legitimate, genuine, ability to choose to do well.
Gen 4:6-7; "And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him"
In my opinion we cannot assume from this passage that God is being disingenuous with Cain, even mocking him about his ability to choose to do well. If Calvinist's assumptions are correct, it makes God out to be a liar almost from the start of creation. And isn't that exactly what Satan proposed to Eve in the Garden? It’s been said many times that Calvinists have the same vocabulary but a different dictionary
So be careful that you are specific to the meaning of their words in context
When they say determinism they actually mean fatalism
When they say omniscient they actually mean Omni- deterministic
And watch out for the false dichotomies
They will ask you…Well, yes or no?!!!

One thing I don't like about these philosophy guys, is that they try to intellectualise scripture. They almost always end up humanising God and deifying man. This is dangerous ground.
Also, there is another option which I have never seen as being considered by these "philosophers" and that is that two things can be true at once.
The Calvinists have predestination spot on and it most certainly harmonises with salvation by the fact that we are saved by grace and not by works lest we should boast. Free choice is "works" and therefore boasting in that choice, is glorifying man's intellect. "Oh, I made the right choice". That's humanising God and deifying man.
At the same time we do have free choice to sin or not sin. Or, to drink Coke or Pepsi and I don't think Calvinists would disagree with that free will choice.
So, the harmonising of those scriptures is yes, we do have free will, but it only exists outside of salvation. Two seemingly opposing things can be true at the same time and still harmonise.
The third "group of scriptures" are made up of the "whosoever should believe" (will be saved) scriptures and "to save all mankind" scriptures.
The "whosoever shall believe" scriptures are "all" the predestined elect or chosen ones who are called by Christ and submit to His call (not by responding by free will choice) to His call. God foreknew who the "whosoever will believes" would be.
Submission is not a free will choice. Ask any UFC fighter. They submit because a power greater than them brings them to their knees so to speak.
When Christ called me, a power greater than myself called the Holy Spirit, literally brought me to my knees in submission. That was not a free will human choice that I made. It was God's grace enacted by the Holy Spirit. A power great than I called the Holy Spirit made me submit. It was the best person I have ever submitted to.
The "all of mankinds" group are the non-elect. And the "all of mankind" scripture is God's desire, not a literal absolute.
The elect are saved. The non-elect according to Revelation will be judged on the day of Judgement according to their deeds. God desires that "all" of mankind will be saved, but also foreknew there would be those who reject Him.
God foreknew the risk of "free will" and therefore made provision for that by having chosen ones (the elect) and then made provision for "all of mankind" by judging them on the Day of Judgement according to their deeds, as stated in Revelation.
That harmonises free will, "saving grace" versus free will works based "choice salvation", salvation for "all" is "all" the elect and "all" the non-elect. Two things can be true at once and still harmonise.

Amen brother and God bless. I would however direct your attention to God saying I will give you a new heart of flesh and not of stone, and a new Spirit will I put in you, and ye shall keep my commandments and my laws. This was said to unbelieving Israel, after they had spent their years denying God and God had decided to bring an end to their covenant because nobody was following the rules of it, as it is said in Hebrews. The point I'm making is that your prayer only makes sense if people are truly saved ONLY by the decision of God. Will God measure a different measure to those who believe and those who don't believe? NO! He will judge every man for his works and he will cause every man to die, unless Jesus comes first then those who believe shall be risen up to him in glory forever. Even this is beyond our ability, how much more then is it beyond our ability to save our selves? How does one save themselves? They can't. They must be saved, someone else has to take up the slack, which for all men is through and through to the very soul we have because of sin, as it is written, he restoreth my soul. What is the soul, bit the place where our desires spring from and to what we are bound? It is the place of our sorrow or our rejoicing, as it is
written, my soul doth magnify the Lord. Jesus is telling you that he wants you to abstain from men, and trust solely in him, that though it is hard to understand, he has a perfect plan and mind, that will always reconcile itself because he doesn't lie or make mistakes.

@@araeshkigal if you accept someone as your ruler and king that us in fact the same thing as ruling yourself. YOU CHOSE the king. Therefore the king is only your king by YOUR choice. Jesus Christ is already King. We are commanded to believe in him. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. We are simply being shown something that is already true. Whether or not we accept it or not it still remains true. But there is no man who would choose Jesus Christ if they had the ability, nor indeed can they. The Apostle Paul himself said that no man can approach that light where Christ dwells. How then can a man choose him who is Light. We are light IN the Lord Jesus Christ. We come to the light because he brings us in, to see whether our works are good or evil as John says. He even says that no man knows the Son but the Father. How then can we choose a king we don't know. Isn't that also telling you that he makes us believe that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father? Hallelujah I dint even realize this till now and yet it's so true. So it is with everything God says, it is true every way you say it.

[42]They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, 'I have come down out of heaven'?"

[2]in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
[3]Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
[4]But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
[5]even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
[6]and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
[7]so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
    [8]For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

I would imagine many Calvinists' answer to "All men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30) would be something along the same lines as their approach to 1 Timothy 2:4. Instead of simply letting the text say what it says, ("All men") they offer: "All KINDS of men." Similar to Jehovah's Witnesses' adding "a" to John 1:1 - "And the Word was ("a") God."

Acts 17:30 "The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands ALL people everywhere to repent." Gosh now THAT solves all the problems of the entire world! God commands "ALL people EVERYWHERE to repent so of course knowing how compliant and obedient people are I am sure THAT 100% OF THEM WILL REPENT! God COMMANDED IT. After all even a casual reading of the bible shows how eager people to receive God's commands and immediately stop sinning.

[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Satan wants you to ignore Gal.1
[8] But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
[9] As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
      ANY OTHER GOSPEL?
      Gal.2
[7] But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision (Gentile)was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision(Jews only) was unto Peter; Peter had a different gospel which promised them eternal life thru the Kingdom in Mt Zion aka Jerusalem. There are several way to show this but John the Baptist was just born and his dad gave a prophecy of what was to come because the Christ was going to be born to preach the message contained in Luke 1 [67] And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
[68] Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
      [69] And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
[70] As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
      [71] That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
      [72] To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
[73] The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
[74] That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
[75] In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
      [76] And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
[77] To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
[78] Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
Verse 72 = Romans 15:8 when Jesus was ministering to the Jews only. Verse 77=covering of sin not forgiveness like we are forgiven. Remission of sin is different. It is a covering up. When the Jew sinned the blood was void until confession and sacrifice was made. Mark 1 [3] The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
[4] John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. [14] Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, (aka the gospel of the circumcision that Peter preached -see Gal. 2:7)
[15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
A RECORD OF SIN IS KEPT FOR THOSE UNDER THE OT COVENANT WHICH PETER IS FOLLOWING. THAT IS FOLLOWING MOSES AS CHRIST ADVOCATED.
      Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
We are not sheep we are new creatures saved and given eternal life by complete forgiveness of our sins and we are risen as Christ was resurrected from death. Our dwelling place, our life is in Heaven. If you do not make the separation of the gospel for us and the gospel of the circumcised aka of the kingdom you could be lost.

None the lest God is calling his people out. I used to debate them and get all emotional ,i.e., and angry, but I feel bad for them. @@ephs145 In his analogy, he wasn't leaving his kids to their own devices. They knew he was there and what he wanted them to do and never indicated that he wouldn't help them.
What Romans 3:11 means is that without God's intervention, no one would seek Him. That is true. You don't have to be a Calvinist to believe that. HOWEVER, Hebrews 11:6 says He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. So, do Romans 3:11 and Hebrews 11:6 contradict each other? Of course not, right? They have different contexts. You apparently read Romans 3:11 and don't take Hebrews 11:6 into account, so you conclude that no one ever seeks Him. That would make nonsense out of Hebrews 11:6. Clearly, people can seek Him. How? By learning about Him through reading or hearing God's word.
Once people become aware that God wants them to seek Him they can choose to do so or not. When people become aware that they are sinners who need to repent of their sins, they can choose to do so or not. They can choose to reach out for God to help them be who He wants them to be or they can choose to rebel.
Look at Acts 7:51 where Stephen was talking to the Sanhedrin and religious Jews of his day and said "You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit!". How does Calvinism get around a verse like this? This verse shows that the Holy Spirit can be resisted. We know that God wanted them to repent, but they were not willing and chose not to. That's what Jesus had earlier said this in Matthew 23:37-38: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate.". It isn't that God doesn't want some people to repent, it's that some willingly choose not to do so. He commands all people to repent of their sins because all people are capable of choosing to do so. This is the only way it makes sense for God to punish people on judgment day. How does it make any sense for God to condemn people for not repenting and believing if they didn't even have the ability to do so? That makes no sense whatsoever. It does make sense for Him to do that if they were capable of doing so, but stubbornly chose to rebel instead.
Scripture never teaches that people are not able to make a choice about these things. Joshua said to his fellow Israelites of his day: "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15). So, he clearly believed that all people were capable of making the choice of either serving the Lord, serving the gods their ancestors served or serving the gods of the Amorites. That's true for all people. All people are capable of either choosing to serve the Lord or choosing to serve false gods or whoever or whatever else they want to serve.

There is so much bad doctrine in Christiandom but then it is prophesied of in scripture. Why did Jesus come, the Son of God, made known in the flesh? He came to, first and foremost; Rom.15 [8] Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: - He came to His own, Jews and HIs own rejected Him, John 1:11. He did not give His life but to some as in many would be, some.
      Matt.20
[28] Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
But when HIs own kept rejecting their Christ aka Messiah, a different and unique apostle who was known to the Jews as Saul but to Gentiles, known as Paul to be the minister of the uncircumcision aka Gentiles. When this happened and the prophecies concerning Christ in the OT were completed, except the Kingdom, Paul could tell us mysteries that Calvinist and most of Christiandom ignore. So the time was right and so it is written -
      1Tim.2
[6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. - But now the message is not for everyone because the circumcision is now having to forget about the hope of eternal life in the KIngdom until the Lord is satisfied with the fulness of the Gentiles. He will have mercy on those to whom He will have mercy and so the nation of Israel had to go thru the payment of or paying back for their sins in the tribulation. The nation is purged of sinners and so it is written by Paul -
      Rom.11
[26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
It will be a fulfillment of this OT scripture which is for the Jews alone.
      Isa.59
[20] And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
How exclusive did the church aka saved Jews in Jerusalem view things?
      Isa.1
[27] Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
      Isa.51
[11] Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
So when time got hard for them in Zion they fled
      Acts.11
[19] Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only TO WHO? JEWS ONLY the message was not the same as the message of salvation is today. Today all can be saved 1 Tim 2:6 the time is now for all to be saved but you have to believe the correct salvation message. Eternal life is not in the Kingdom with the tree of life it is because Jesus shed His blood, died, was buried and resurrected from the dead and we are too. Quickened means to be made alive again. The importance is of life and death.
      1Cor.15
[36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
      Eph.2
      [1] And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
[5] Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
      Col.2
      [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
      MORE TO CONSIDER
      Gal.2
[20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
YOU CAN NOT FIND THIS OUTSIDE OF PAUL'S EPISTLES
      1Cor.12
[13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. AND Col.2 [12] Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
FINALLY our lives are in heaven on in a Kingdom meant for a holy nation with a kingdom full of priests. Exod.19 [6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
We are not spiritual Israel. Israel is set aside for the time being until the right time determined by God. If you do not separate these issues you might be one the way south, H, E, double hockey sticks. You get the picture. Satan doesn't care if you believe the bible just don't believe Paul and he's got you. Many a cult which are lost and bound for hell claim to believe scripture too.

@@tims.449 All praise and glory be unto The Lord. Many people overlook the Mystery revealed unto Paul and the Apostles. As a student of only the Old Testament for the early part of my life, in retrospect I can see how logical it was for the early followers of Messiah, to bridle at the introduction of Gentiles into the Assembly. References in the Tanakh, regarding the inclusion of nonJews into God's plans for Israel, almost always focused on them conjoining themselves to Israel. No doubt this led to the rise of a Judaizing faction within the early church. It was not until a direct revelation from The Lord (Acts 26:16-18), revealed how He would use the rejection of Jesus, as the promised Messiah by Israel's national rulers, to spread the message of Salvation to Gentiles. Few realize how easier it would have been on Gentiles had they undergone circumcision. Jews at that time were permitted special dispensation by Rome, not to participate in Roman festivals and rituals, nor were they required to bow down to Roman gods, idols, standards etc; as well as being released from laws of conscription through payment of specific taxes. As converts to Judaism (Messianic followers were considered a sect within Judaism at that time) Gentiles would have fallen under this caveat in Roman law, but because they were not to be circumcised, persecutions against them ensued. In the early days of the Church, Paul's teachings met with strong opposition by large segments of Judaism. If men could believe & save themselves after hearing (or reading) the Gospel ON THEMSELVES (without divine intervention or without divine initiative FIRST) then majority (if not all) Catholics would have been saved cos they have been hearing (& even reading) the Bible (Gospel) since childhood for many years.
We know most (if not all) Catholics can give an intellectual assent even a hearty assent (if u will) to the truth that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day and they would profess that truth daily, but they are still NOT born-again if that was the case they would have been saved.
Thus, I would infer that ONLY after divine intervention FIRST can a person truly believe the gospel and be born-again and saved Amen

      @@rahulshinde6210 wrong.
Thats making an inferred conclusion from his claim which is misunderstood. He didn't say reading the bible is irresistibly effective in causing everyone who reads it to be saved. He just said that he provided a way so that by reading it you may know what to do to be saved. People are still people tho, if in the hardness of their heart they corrupt this message for themselves through sinfulness and sins desire. Thats on them. God told them and they did not listen.
Side note, I would wonder how many catholics actually ARE saved, majority do believe jesus died for their sins and are repentant, with out having any knowledge of the truly false catholic doctrines. Who are we to tell. Thats in God's hands.
I reject your conclusion, I think its baseless.

      It isn't "can't", it's "won't".
The problem with the rabid hate filled zealots here is they refuse to see mankind in its current state, dead in trespasses and sins, unable to do good.
Instead they push language like yours, "they just can't, they really want to, they love God and Jesus but God didn't choose them so he has to force them back."
The father has elected his children from before earth was formed, given to the son, and the son died for them, calls them, justified them, holds them, keeps them, and his children hear and obey his voice.
Despite the anger, insults, arrogance, of the haters here, you just have to keep studying and see God has a plan for his creation, and does what he wants with it, both to show great mercy and great wrath and justice.
Calvinism hate group here cannot stand the idea that God is sovereign over his creation, it's poison to their ears to think anybody other than mankind itself is in control. Jesus death on the cross didn't save one soul, it merely provided a way for people to come to their senses and save themselves by accepting it.
Pretty big risk on Jesus part to assume any dead, sinfilled people who have no good works in them, will decide to accept the gift. After all, God can't change them until they ask for it.
And the elect chosen before the foundations of the earth, just ignore it, God would never pick someone by force! Nowhere in scripture do we see God choosing someone for himself right? God doesn't just choose people, where is that written?
I know the debate rages on, but don't be easily swayed by mockery and insults, there are powerful strong arguments both sides make.

It’s illogical to make the claim something is one way and than say you do know why it’s that way. It fails the most basic sense making principle.

Many lessons in the Bible are non-doctrinal so that people can understand.
As we are sinful, we cannot contribute anything to our salvation.
God predetermined everything before creation, and in this natural life, we play our part in the unfolding of God's plan.
