Awesome stuff bru 🌊 it's interesting watching this growing trend to leave out music backgrounds from content. I personally enjoy watching sports like surfing, mtb, bmx etc without the music and without any fancy cuts. It's nice to hear the noises of the environment and athlete and their craft. However, I don't think you need to close the door on using tunes as they have their place and there are many tastes out there. Also please don't stop talking to us bru, we dig the how-to and daily journal stuff too :) Keep it up and glad you are back out there again.
Thanks so much man. Yeah these won’t be too often but I think I will put them out for you guys to see every now and then. I’m still going to keep doing the vlogs and how to videos too. Thanks again.
I reckon a really interesting video idea would be one where you do a voice over of each wave describing why you chose to do what manoeuvre, take a certain line or pull out of certain waves, could help viewers make better decisions on what trick to do or when to pull out of a wave and what the best line is on different shaped waves.
Your videos POV are most immersive I Iove that BIG BIG level dude 🤙💯 the knee holding up ?! Happy for you Nice little session that must have done you a lot of good 😉
Axing the music is a great call. Makes one feel closer to being there. Which camera and mount did you decide to go with in those sequences? I personally have a SJcam (GoPro knock-off) and a helmet mount, yet could use some updating.
Thanks man. That was with the GoPro hero 7 and a mouth mount. It’s works well together. I don’t wear a helmet and it’s a lot of work checking if it’s recording or not.
I have always wanted to see Pipeline from the first person angle, now I have achieved it thanks to you and this fantastic video. Greetings from the Canary Islands bro!
That was sick, loved the change up of content! Would love to see more raw POV in the future! Hope your knee heals quickly, and can’t wait for the next video!🤙🙏🤙
Heyy! I'm new here in the channel, loving it by the way! I've been doing bodyboard in northern Portugal for a years now, but as I only do it in the summer for some (really few) days I've never bought either fins or a wetsuit. Do you think fins make a big difference when getting onto the wave? I'd really love if could answer, thank you!
Hey Gil. Yes they do help with getting onto waves. Also for doing moves it’s a vital part to make sure you have shorter fins. Any surf shop should have fins of some sort. Churchill’s are the ones I choose to wear but all of those types are good.
Just realized there is no video of you at the Wedge in California! Hope you come out some day, just had a good session in HB this morning trying to do something everyday.
Hey Iain ! The video is so dopeee ;)) I just bought a go pro hero 8 in order to have some POV footage of my bodyboard session, as this video. Can I know your setting that you are using on the go pro hero 8 for this video, and for all your session ? The quality is soooo amazing !! And also the angle of the go pro to have the best view as possible. Thank you so much ;). Cheersss
Hey man. I was using a hero 7 on this session. But nevertheless, I use the GoPro on 2.7k @ 50 fps with superview on and hyper smooth. I don’t do any pro tunes as the conditions are always changing. Hope that helps and looking forward to seeing some POV stuff.
Iain Campbell yeah please- I prone and enjoy a double stringer bcos I’m very heavy 42.5/43 60/40 rails preferably … that’s my current set up custom toobs
Sick stuff out there, I've been riding my local surf spot (shark island Sydney) with a nomad nemesis pro, pe core at 42. It's a pretty average board honestly and doesn't handle well with 10ft plus waves. Do you have any recommendations for a good board on those bigger waves, preferably one that flexes well and picks up a lot of speed? Also i absolutely love your channel
Hey Nick. Thanks so much for the message and support. My suggestion would be to get an ISS board with a PP core and then try the soft or medium flex. I used that in Hawaii and it went so well. That would be a good suggestion going forward.
@@iaincampbell_ Thanks so much for the advice, I really appreciate it, I have been doing quite a bit of research in terms of finding the perfect board, I just have another two questions. In terms of brands, does it really matter regarding which brand to chose, as in does it come to personal preference? Or does each bodyboard brand do their own variations in terms of the design of an iss board. I'm just not sure which brand I should go for. Also another question, what are the differences between a soft flex and medium flex and which do you prefer? Sorry for asking all these questions haha 😅
@@nickpanayiotou684 so the brands don't really matter as they are all made in the same factory. I guess it comes down to personal preference when the boards are made. For me, obviously I am going to push Sniper Bodyboards as they are my sponsor and I get royalties off board sales. When it comes to soft and medium flex stringers, I am guessing the ISS system is something new to all so please go check them out at the link below: www.rideiss.com/
@@iaincampbell_ awesome thanks for the tips, Il be doing more research on the soft and medium flex but it's amazing how much technology is involved with these boards, Il check my local bodyboard shop and see if they have any in stock. Cheers mate
Iain so sick to watch my boet. I remember the good ol days of jamming waterpolo with with and against you ;) keep smashing the barrels bru, so lekker to watch. Let me know how Hawaii is? Tune howsit to Nathan florence and the boys ?

just surfing content, barrel and try learn the different decision that you take on each waves
More to come.
The raw style is so cool, should do this more often !!
Will do bru.
One of the best GoPro bodyboarding videos of all Time ❤
Glad you think so! Thank you 🙏🏼
the wave he takes at 7:55 that's how skill looks like: Paddling for a non existing small wave and make the most technical rollo out of it.
100% class!
BEST POV AT PIPE EVER!!!

Amazing footage
Love your POV videos! Thanks for sharing

Loved how you didn't slow down the footage, really prefer the raw normal speed stuff.
Way more to come for sure.
this was sooooo good! next best thing to being there
Thanks bru. More to come soon.
Looks fun as! Ramp city
Gopro effect in full swing of course but looks likes everyones dream day at pipe, fun not overcrowded. Amazing footage man
Thanks man. It was fun with limited stressful situations.
Nice!
Thank you for doing all prone.
Amazing Stuff! Great Work!!!
Do you use something to make sure you don't lose your gopro? (in addition to the floaty)
I don’t use the floaty actually. I have a strong that attached to the GoPro and then to my wetsuit it leash strap. Just depending what I’m wearing.
Awesome video bro!!
Do you know if this suport GoPro Mouth Mount can be used with gopro hero 5 session?
Yes it is the standard mount.
wow, being able to duckdive set waves @ pipeline? "a small pipeline day" is an understatememt.
Not at all. That’s just what it is!
6:48 so cool
Love the raw footage... people don't just magically pop up behind the waves. You have to paddle there.
Yes you do... not always the easiest thing to do either 😂
man i miss body boarding, i only get to do it whenever i go the the beach which is not often
Well you need to get back to the beach more often then.
dude this board is like a rocket
It sure is...

Hey sorry to double up but is there a good site to follow championship body competitions?
Nice video! You should come out to the west side and surf Yokohama bay. It’d be dope to see you surf out there.
I would love to sometime. Have been out there before but no car means no ride 😏😂 maybe soon 🤙🏼
Iain Campbell Yea man lmk if I can help you out with that. I live here on the west side about a 15 min drive to Yokohama bay from my house.

im surprised at how many waves you caught in a single session in pipeline, how long was this session?
This was in February of this year but it was a smaller day with not so many people out.
Have you ever surfed Targets on Kauai?
No, I’ve surfed a few waves around there but not targets.

Hey David. I don’t use much. I have some wax that is super clear so it doesn’t look like much but it’s sticky as! Less is more to be honest.
