When I think of the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ I am filled with many emotions:
1) the Horror and pain Jesus had to endure at the hands of men, and the painful separation of Jesus from his Father when all of our sin was placed upon his soul.
2) the utter amazement that God would take this punishment upon himself
3) the realisation of the ENORMITY of sin before our Holy Perfect God
4) Desparate sadness that we are so evil before God that this is the only way we could be cleansed and forgiven.
5) and finally Overwelling thanks and gratitude towards God that he would provide us with a way out of Hell, and allow us to be with him forever!!!!
6)Thank you Heavenly Father for sending your beautiful Son to us!!! There are no words that I could say to express my ETERNAL gratitude to you!!!! "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh". The person Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man.
The text itself clearly explains who are those that Jesus does not know: the workers of iniquity. They never repented of their sins. They were never born again. They were never regenerated. They lived and died in their sins, although they participated physically and mentally in some Christian community.

Then there’s Heb 3&6 where Jesus doesn’t know you because you fell away from the faith. As Gal 5 states, we fall from grace and Christ become of no effect to us.

I come under deep conviction every time I ponder this passage of Scripture. I do not want to lie to myself by telling myself that he does know me (Jer. 17:9). Often have I said that it is not important that one know who Jesus is but rather that he knows them. May it be that the Lord know us friends.
In 1John the bible says that the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we belong to Him (God). Ask the Holy Spirit to testify to your spirit that Jesus knows you...
Imagine if that day you find yourself among those. I think about this everyday and terrifies me.

We all have friends that we spend time with and we all make time for those we want to be with. Our priorities are centered around our desires. Ask yourself, is Jesus Christ my priority? Do I make time to spend with Him or do I neglect Him like I do friends or acquaintances that I'd rather not be around or hang out with? Trust me, if we do not make time for Jesus it is because we do not desire to be with Him. He will not be put on the back burner, He will not be cast aside and ignored and He will not desire to build a relationship or reveal Himself to anyone that does not desire Him. He will find someone else to know and love and give His time and effort to. Those who hear " depart from me " are hearing exactly what they should've expected to hear if they were honest about it. They didn't want Him now and they will not get Him later. They wanted all the benefits of God but not God Himself. They wanted the friends mansion to party in but did not want the friendship. 2 Corinthians 13:5, Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith...
All I can say is Because of God and His Grace and Mercy are we all alive and well today.
My sin is great and I dare claim the Lord of Lords knows me? I did dare but His wonderful word knows me a fool.

I believe a strong sign to know if Jesus does know us and that we have relationship with the Heavenly Father is in our hearts, we cry out to Abba Father....we have that strong desire to call Him Father as described in Galatians 4:6 ''Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!”
I wouldn’t rely on what your heart says. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9. Our feelings, thoughts, opinions, and emotions are not true and this cannot be gage in which we discern whether we are in Christ or not. I lived 21 with Christ in my heart, calling him Father, yet I was truly lost. What led me to true repentance was reading Matthew 7:21. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that I knew Christ but He never knew me. ImI would suggest a more solid and trustworthy way of discerning whether we are in Christ- His Word. May Gods peace be with you.
Most of us try to cover our lack of primal work(reaching out to gentiles with the gospel) with singing & praying.
We hope to earn entry in to heaven with his grace.
Grace sure, saves us from a multitude of sins, but not from sin of non-functionality. We better be serious about his work if we need to enter that gate. Else all is in vain, I never knew you, stares right at us!
@@SolusChristus3 That is true...thank you for sharing that...we can't rely on our hearts...I guess what I mean is for example, when I sin....I confess it to our Heavenly Father....I believe that's the Holy Spirit in me prompting me to confess it....but absolutely, we must not rely on our hearts....I think 1 John explains clearly that those born of God, practice righteousness and loves his brothers and sisters 1 John 3:9-10
@@anilevarghese My friend, those who put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior become born again and their sins have been forgiven...we need to share the gospel of course, but that doesn't earn our way to Heaven....we can't earn our way to the Kingdom of God....only through trusting and believing in Jesus Christ alone gets us there

If you’re in HIS church then yes “HE knows you.” The problem is “too many people worship HIM “in false doctrines.” HE doesn’t know them!
If you want HIM to know you:
“You need to be born again in the water and the Spirit “in the church of Christ.” (ACTS 4:12)

To go off Tan’s response, the fact that you are afraid is actually a good thing. It shows you desire to know Him and be known by Him. We must act on that desire and pursue Him. One way to do that is to read the Bible daily, even just a little bit, and put into practice what you learn. This takes courage, so pray for it! Even Paul prayed for courage!
You can also read 1 John 5 for more clarity, as he says in verse 13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
We are saved by believing in Jesus alone, his work on the cross, his life death and resurrection. When they came to Jesus, they listed all their works, thinking they knew him, but Jesus did not know them. If you've repented, and believed in Jesus, you are saved. Trust and rely on Jesus, none of our works save us. I pray when I see him, my first words are "Jesus, I am unworthy, but YOU redeemed me, YOU offered me life, YOU loved me. I am sorry for my sins, YOU have washed them away, even though I have sinned against you."

I too get really scared by passages like this. I trusted in Jesus in 2005 and I've tried to walk with him ever since but I am tormented at times wondering if my trust is sincere and if I truly believe with all my heart. I want to be assured of my salvation and live in freedom like the word says but I still feel like I'm in chains sometimes by my faith which is the thing that is supposed to bring me peace and joy. I know it's not about my works, it's about what Jesus did on the cross for me but what if my doubt and fear that still are present are a sign that I'm not truly saved. I have a very hard time sensing God's presence and as much as I desire a close personal relationship with him, it often feels distant and impersonal. I've talked to pastors, I've gone to counseling, but I just don't know how to get past these thoughts that are just unrelenting at times.

Absolutely! But sadly, Jesus does not "know" most; that will ever have lived. Very sad but true. IE:
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Folks: Beware that is very near; when Jesus will fulfill to the letter; the above. Please do not be among that group.

I have noticed that Arminianists constantly threathen people's salvation and Calvanists constantly question people's salvation.
That begs the question, what are you?
The bible “threatens people’s salvation” friend which is why you would question to see if you’re in the faith or if you have fallen away.

Just stick with the bible and don’t worry about which group says what.

Do you communicate in the spirit with God? God is a Spirit and one must communicate with Him in spirit and truth. A stranger is an unknown entity who would be treated with caution. The way to obtain any assurance, acceptance and power with any human or animal, is to have regular intercommunication with each other. Jesus gave instructions of how to obtain God power. It is to be baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit, who would empower one to speak mysteries in tongues in the Spirit to God. Speaking in tongues is communicating directly to God in the Spirit with ones born again, regenerated spirit, not to man, but to God. 1 Corinthians 14:2. Gods power is only available to believers who exercise by obtaining the power of speaking in tongue as Jesus has comanded in the Gospels. Heaven and earth shall pass away but, no Word of Jesus shall pass away. Satanic lies has robbed millions of Gods power by not obtaining the baptism of Gods Power. Acts 1:8.

Jesus was only sent to the Jews to guide them to the right path .. most of christians today are not Jews , you are only gentiles and Jesus did not come for the gentiles .. secondly "son of god" is only a endearment statement in Aramaic referring to a pious person , Jesus spoke Aramaic and preached in Aramaic , That is the reason why you take Jesus as son of god but Isreal ( David ) is also mentioned as the begotten son of god , Solomon as well and i can mention many more , there are sons by the tons in the bible .. if you want to say that Jesus was born without father and that makes him unique and worthy of worship , then Adam was created without father nor a mother .. Jesus did not die and Allah does not need a son to forgive people sins , we pray directly to Allah like Jesus did , You have misunderstood Jesus message because of the churches that preach what is not in the bible ... Trinity concept does not exist in the bible .. God does not need a son to forgive people , if he wanted to , he would have done the same with Moses , Abraham , David , Jacob , Solomon , Jesus was only a prophet , and the prophets i just mentioned believe in only one god , none of them believed in Triune god or anything like .. i can go deeper to claiming that the bible is corrupt , it is full of Paul letters who never Jesus .. and much more , just ask .

@@EvieBear236 Actually, no, and of course I didn’t read on to see if he made it clear later on. But as a writer and publisher, I would never encourage a person who is delivering The Truth of the Gospel Message to entitle any type of public message with a “trick title” to lure the reader to read/hear/understand the REAL message. I don’t care that Dr Sproul explained it later on - I have better things to do with my time (and probably so does he now). I don’t follow any teacher or teaching-I do follow JESUS, alive and well today on planet earth - that’s for sure.
