He’s in hospital right now and I want him to come home with me for a few days despite our very rocky relationship. Hearing you talk about peace makes me think about what they did in South Africa at the end of apartheid. They did something like Catholics do called reconciliation. Bishop Desmond Tutu presided over the proceedings. People who had done horrific things during apartheid were allowed the grace to tell their stories without fear of retribution and were offered forgiveness. I wish that they could/would do that in Isreal. But it would be difficult because of the fact that Iran, Turkey, Hezbollah(spelling?)and I am not even sure who else is involved in that conflict/war are all hellbent on destruction instead of resolution and peace.Thanks for the reading.
