This is what I like about Taeyang and Bigbang in general is that they are constantly evolving their style and music because they're not afraid to experiment. Too many times kpop idols don't get a hand on experience in creating their own music that their sense of personal identity is lost, well that is at least how I see it but everyone in bigbang personally takes part in the creation of their album either producing the beats or writing lyrics or adding new concepts that is why Bigbang will always be unique. VIP since 2006 :D
Most people are mad at YG or at Korean laws for making this take so long but why care about that. The fact that through all those hardships our Taeyang pulled through and gave us this amazing album without giving up. Taeyang your are my role model and I have a whole new respect for you. I love you♡♥

Tona Firnges korean laws as in like censorship and YG delayed some of his songs so he had to keep working on them i think

I really adore the burning passion Taeyang oppa has for music. Unlike other artist his emotions and feeling for it are pure.. it raw. It's like falling in love for someone for the first time. over and over again. But instead for someone it's something for him. . It's music. It's great to see how passionate and hardworking he is. It's not just music for him u know.. it's his soul. His everything.. and u could definitely hear it in his music... big bang was always very special for me. taeyang is one of those guys that can make everything special, you can tell that he isn't a ""normal" guy, he is truly sensible and has a good and passionate heart. and he is really talented and works a lot to achieve masterpieces.

the only thing i can say is : i give all my respect to taeyang. i am not from Korea so i can't understant all the thing they say in this video but the thing i understant is that taeyang and the crew have worked on this album for 4 years! and omo i think that i feel his soul in it because the firt time i heart the song eyes noise lips i coudn't say anything! i was just still because i feel the thing he is singin even though i am not from Korea so i don't speak the language!! but yeah the thing i am going to say again Taeyang all my respect is for you .

First things first: so cool to hear his English! It's actually so good, I can barely hear his accent! Second: I really like this type of 'making of' videos, and this is a great story. It also explains well to the fans why it took him so long and you can feel that this album is 100% his style!

Well those hardwork, delayed comebacks during those years have been paid off. The album is just amazing. From Track 1 to track 9, this nine song are just awesome! and Taeyang voice is sure something that not everyone singers have, which Taeyang can only have! I just love the album and I will definitely buy it!

For me it's the best album of the year. I mean, it made me write more music than before. That's what I call an achievement when you hear a song or an artist's music and you want to improve yourself to make your own music better. I give him props. I know how it is writing music and dealing with this kind of crud. You feel like your songs will never improve. That darn writers block, then someone says, Wow! This song is good, just think about changing this or what about this. AND BAM! You're back and it's golden. For me, I don't really follow any one group or singer in this K-pop world. I listen to the music for what it is, and sometimes it's just crap. Taeyang, with this album, has caused me to want to write more than I do. When musicians can inspire musicians and others to strive to be better at their craft, then you know they are something special. I applaud him and his efforts. I don't know much about him, but I do know that his voice and the songs on this album are very heartfelt. If you can make your songs touch me like that. I will be more than happy to buy your album and then some. Thank you Taeyang and YG crew, seriously, thank you. *Standing Applause*
This is the sort of physical album I'm willing to pay for. There's a story, a potential source for learning. Songs produced out of excellence and hard work. Songs that reaches the soul just as it came from the heart. This is why I believe this is one of the best albums out there out of all the kpop music at the moment. I love the melody, the beat, and the story.

I love that he wants to pass messages and emotions through his music, instead of using his physical appearance to attract fans by writing insignificant songs with match with a dance choreography (which includes lame sexy and awkward repetitive moves, like most kpop mvs)

This video made me emotional. Every time I see videos like this or with the other members, it makes me remember from when they were trainees just starting out and the hard work they put in to follow their dreams. Now here they are. Taeyang is very passionate and seems to be a very emotional guy who also thinks before he do or speak. For him work on his album and it took four years, He thought about it a lot at the same time, learning new life experiences through travel and meeting different people so he has gained a new perspective within the four years which I can feel from this album. Taeyang is a thinker. A critical thinker and critical thinking is a skill that is why he deliberated for for years. Taeyang. Your the best.

This album really put Taeyang's Soul in the spotlight, he is really for me one of the most inspiring figures. Even after 1 month and a half I can never really get sick of the album Rise, because each and every song in it is unique in it's own way as it conveys TaeYang's personal emotions.

I really do feel this album has a heart put into it! I also loved the words GD used to describe the album, "its like a sunset, wider and deeper" Thats exactly how it feels! Yet his Solar album was more like a sunrise
Im so proud of him, Taeyang. Everything everyone said is right now. I definitely agree with Choice37. The entire album has a new feel & I noticed that right away. Taeyang isn't just singing a song, he is exposing his inner thoughts and feelings by expressing them the best way he knows how, through music...through dance.

every song in the album is so perfect. when I listened to it for the first time, even though I don't understand, the music itself sounded like he was telling me stories.

LOL at nobody mentioning that one of the big reasons his album got delayed was also YG not accepting the songs he had made, and thus he finally had to give in and choose most public friendly songs for the album in order to get it released.

YG only rejected 2 songs. Not a big deal. That happens all the time and everywhere. The producer rules. But the album was still mostly made the way that Tae wanted. He wouldn't have been able to do it in any other korean company.
mykaputridhyaanggita actually, Korea is pretty conservative, so Body was borderline pushing the 19+ rating. They created over 18 songs for this
i think it's more like they're compromising to reach middle ground. if Taeyang is the type to give in to whatever YG wants him to sing, his album would've been released a long time ago.
Taeyang's album is not a trend but is sth from his heart to anyone has the same feeling, every song i listen to i can feel it,even though i don't know the lyric. I hope you will be a singer till the end
