A couple of things to comment-
1. Land is owned by the state , not by individuals. People own what they build or create on the land, ex, a house , a factory, a farm on the land can be owned but not the land. according to the Eritrean law.
2.As you mentioned abortion is illegal in Eritrea. Actually the office used to be named as family Planning was meant to control family sizes during the Ethiopian Occupation(DERG era), after the independence it is renamed as Family Productivity - ፍርያምነት ስድራ to encourage healthy prosperous families.
