CP3 is gone. I think Klay will stay as long as unproven guards can't start over him. I don't think he mad if PG starts over him. At least he's a proven 2nd option on a team who can get 20 PPG.
Why try to short change klay and pay 28 million yr more for Paul.
Cause Klay was one of only 2 warriors last year who were a net negative. Along with Wiggins, they literally hurt more than they helped.

I wouldn’t do it. At most I’d offer 2 years & PO for the 3rd year. Line it up with Steph & Kerr. If Steph retires at the end of his current contract then it’s rebuild mode and PG will be 36/37 at that time. He’ll be older, likely more injury prone & we would no longer be in a position to compete for a title. Only person I would consider giving 4 years is KD or a young rising star as a GM.
KD and Giannis are the only two players that I'll pay that max.

klay is not "way" better than PG
Kerr had to give Klay’s minutes (second half of season) to a rookie and 2 G leaguers just to win enough to make the play in. Injury and age deplete players’ legs.
