- Take a tour around SeaWorld Orlando in Orlando, Florida. In this video we take a scenic tour around SeaWorld and visit the new Antarctica area, which opened last year (2013).

ya know, I don't care what those people who jump on the "Blackfish bandwagon" says, they're happy performing, it's not like they're sad or anything. I love going to Sea World when I get the chance to go to Orlando for two weeks and enjoy watching all the shows and riding the rides.

Of course they aren't sad, can't you see it on their face? Do you see any whale tears? I didn't think so. I think I even overheard them on their break one day, the big one told the small one he couldn't have asked for a better job in the world. He wakes up everyday, just to do what he has always dreamed of doing. How could you tell that all from just the look on their funny whale faces? I love how intuitive you are.

Seaworld does tons of stuff to save the animals when injured. They take them to their parks to make sure they are looked after and when the time comes for them after they're rehabilitated and/or not ill, they release them back into the wild.
They also own Discovery Cove, which is in fact a wonderful place to go to. (I myself went in 2010 for the day whilst on holiday to Orlando) and they say the same thing - that they rescue and rehabilitate the dolphins and when one of the female dolphins give birth, they send one of the other dolphins to another Discovery Cove in San Diego CA.
I also happen to know that the dolphins are happy there, otherwise they'd attack the people who attend Discovery Cove every day (I myself actually have pictures from there that show how happy the dolphin we got was and that she wanted lots of kisses and let me lay on her stomach because I lost grip of her dorsal fin and flipper due to myself having a disability).
So I think personally, you're just one of the many people who are on the "Blackfish - let's boycott SeaWorld!" bandwagon.
Also, look at it in another perspective jerk, don't you think SeaWorld would have gone out of buisness IF they had been found to have been hurting the animals there?

Not a bandwagon...more like education, resulting in compassion.
There are many marine life rescue organizations that rescue without exploiting for profit. Blackfish aside, you should take a look into SeaWorld's dark past. I think you would be mortified.

That's very confusing.
First and foremost I am against the captivity of cetaceans, Blackfish, or no Blackfish.
I have researched everything regarding Blackfish, negative & positive. Generally those screaming propaganda can be connected monetarily to the captive cetacean industry somewhere along the line. Ms. Cowperthwaite has NO connection to the industry, and only wanted to find out why Dawn was killed by Tillikum. She found out more about the industry than she ever expected from the experts...marine biologists, zoologists, and people from the marine park industry itself. Result...Blackfish.
If you think this documentary is biased propaganda, you don't need to look very far for other documented proof of why these animals do not belong in a captive circus environment.
bluesun2662 The Cove is a documentary about an annual dolphin hunting event in Japan where they catch hundreds of dolphins, trap them inside a netted cove and hunt them brutally. Very different to what Sea World is doing. Sea World's staff consists of top marine biologists, veterinarians and zoologists. Sea World provided evidence that the former employees featured in Blackfish had not worked in a Sea World park for at least 20 years. Blackfish tried to pass off animal rights activist as trusted scientists, saying that Killer Whales are "emotionally destroyed" yet they give no proof or evidence that this is the case. The whole documentary is just theories and accusations with cleverly placed imagery and cartoon-style music to try and emotional manipulate the viewer. Sea World haven't captured any marine life for entertainment in 35 years. 80% of their animals have been born at Sea World or other marine life facilities. Release the ones who were born in wild? Yes I agree, but release all marine life? No. They were born and have lived in places like Sea World where they are given round the clock attention, medical care and food by the truck loads, all for doing some tricks (kind of like when you give your dog a treat for doing a trick but on a much larger scale). They're not used to fending for themselves in the wild, they're used to a lifestyle of humans caring for them, if they are left in open waters to fend for themselves they won't survive. Look at Keiko the whale for example, people were so desperate to send him back into the wild that they let him free in 2002, 3 months later he returned back to shore seeking contact with human beings and allowing children to ride on his back. A year later he died. The sooner people hop off this "Boycott Sea World" fashion of the month BS the better.

Who cares about Blackfish! Seaworld doesn't abuse their animals, if anything you should complain and boycott Ringling Bros. because they do abuse their animals. The people at Seaworld ate Zoologists and help the animals, unlike Ringling who doesn't.

Defiantly not a beautiful place.. Orcas are abused and taken from their families when they belong in the wild. Watch the film black fish and let me know what you think of sea world after that

I thought seaworld was a little kids park like disneyworld but when I got there, I was so wrong. Haha
Funny thing about sea lion exhibit. Those white egrets or herons aren't actually of it. My one niece was trying to feed the sea lions, and one of the birds flew and stole the fish right out of her hand. She got a little paper type of cut from the talons, but she was fine.

The funny thing is that all the blackfish supporters want SeaWorld to close. The thing that's funny is the consequence. If SeaWorld closes one of the 2 things will happenA. The orcas would go into the wild. They would most likely die because they've been in captivity for so long.B. They'd go to a aquarium which would give them a smaller space and the problem would be worse.
Or they'd just be put to sleep.

Please don't go to Seaworld, as tempting as it is to see the whales up close, the park is as bad as a lion circus. The sooner the public stops giving them money, the sooner they will stop taking more whales away captive, and the whales that are there already such as Tilikum won't be dumped in the wild - the idea is they will be kept in a cornered off section of the ocean, still in captivity but with much more space - they will then be the last whales kept in captivity. You think you may as well give the park money as the whales are already in the tank? Stop giving them money, and it means no more whales can be put in that tank! If you want pure thrills and enjoyment, go whale watching and see them in the wild, it'll be one of the most beautiful experience of your life. It's 2016 and we still haven't learnt anything.
Not everyone goes for the whales. I want to go back for the rides and enjoyment. SeaWorld also has a great rehabilitation programme to help and release wild animals, so closing them down would not help the poor animals who are hurt in the wild. Also they are not allowed to capture any more orcas so Shamu Stadium won't be around much longer anyway.

xxJanixx90 Captivity is terrible yes, but imagine this scenario: Everyone stops going, who is going to pay for the orcas food and welfare then? Soon the captivity will end but it's still unfair to boycott them entirely when the animals would also suffer. Let's be realistic here.

Yes, a lot actually. Sea world could possibly close down in the next 5-10 years because of there income. Yes it's a fun place but you can't just capture these animals who obviously if they're killing people (tilikum) are stressed and they have flopped dorsal fins and just can't stay in there forever. But j love seaworlds rides and stuff rely fun.

The whales are still at SeaWorld. They will live out the rest of their lives at SeaWorld, after they all pass away there will no longer be orcas at SeaWorld.
