The prophet Joel said there would be continued revelation coming from the Lord from out of Zion in the last days found in Joel 3:15-2014-17.. This is a reference to the events just before the Second Coming of the Lord in the times when the world will eventually gather in the valley of decision but In those last days the Lord will be found in Zion speaking his voice then later on he will speak from Jerusalem.. At the moment the Lord speaks his voice through his prophets who are in Zion and its in Zion where the Lord and his glory will also be found. After visiting Joseph Smith to restore back Zion upon the earth. Then the resurrected Lord will also visit the Jews in Israel. Zechariah Chapter 12-13. Show them the nail prints in his hands and feet to them, then they will will realize he is the messiah that their fathers had crucified.. Then after the Jews accept the messiah then he will show himself again later on but this time he will appear in red robes up in the clouds in great glory and power with all his angles to judge the rest of the world.. And this will be the main Second Coming Event. or the Great Day of the Lord.. On the days in Genesis are they 24 hour periods?. Well it does say in the scriptures that one day to the Lord is a thousand of our earth years. The Lord said through the prophet Isaiah that he would bring back Zion again upon the earth in the last days to fulfill the covenant promises that he made with Abraham, and also with Joseph of Egypt who was also a heir. .
@@truthbebold4009 The Latter-day Zion is written in the Bible in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos and Joel. . But to understand how Joseph Smith fits into it, you have to put all the pieces of the puzzle together starting with the blessing given to Joseph of Egypt by Jacob in Genesis Chapter 49 God gave more than one portion of his greatest blessings. God split the blessings between the two brothers.. Joseph of Egypt who was sold by his brothers because they had despised him was broken off away from the house of Israel when Israel was scattered and was led away to another land.. This is where the Book of Mormon Record Comes From his line the sealed book of scripture that Isaiah Chapter 29 points to.. This is the record of the other sheepfold that Jesus said he would go and preach the everlasting gospel to after he had finished his ministry to the Jews in Israel. For God the Father had commanded Jesus to do more ministry work with the other sheepfold. So Israel wasn't the only place that Jesus had preached the everlasting gospel to. While from his brother Judah came the Line of the Kings of Israel..... This is the line where the Bible comes from through the mouth of the Jews. So just because you got a record obtained from the mouth of the Jews dosen't mean that is all that God has spoken. You need not suppose that if God can speak one word to one sheepfold that he cannot cannot speak anymore of his words to other sheepfolds. So there was not one line of prophets that god's word came from but two lines for god had raised up two lines of prophets for each sheepfold..And there could be more lines of prophets as there is the lost 10 tribes of israel as well to be restored back in the last days. Because two of the brothers had received the greatest portions of God's blessings. So what Travis has been telling you about of God restoring back and saving the house of Joseph and all the house of Israel in the last days to fulfill the covenant promises that God made with Abraham while strengthening the house of Judah is correct. Because that is what God has done. He has restored back the everlasting gospel upon the earth. Its not just only the house of Judah being blessed by God in the last days but the house of Joseph also.. Zechariah 10:6 Before the Second Coming can commence the House of Israel has to be all gathered first. That is why Zion has all the temples to gather all of Israel on both sides of the veil. If there was no apostasy then there would be no tares among all the wheat. But there was an apostasy because Paul and the apostles were in the middle of it. Jeremiah saw in vision what would take place in the last days. "Who is this that engageth his heart to approach unto me saith the Lord.' And we know its Joseph Smith because the Lord then says this. For The Lord did set up a Zion people through Joseph Smith being the instrument. 22. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. And the people of Zion would be known as the Latter-day Saints. We would come to knowledge of the truth of this in the last days in the days of all the tornadoes and whirlwinds. Which we are living in right now. Verses 23-24. And Chapter 31 Verses 6-15 is all about the early pioneer saints gathering towards Zion. Jeremiah saw the journey of the saints happening in vision. For Jeremiah was a prophet, seer and revelator, he was able to see future events taking place of the future restoration of Zion upon the earth. So you have to look for the Stone Kingdom that Daniel saw. It would be an everlasting kingdom. Why do you think Latter-day saints teach that everything is all eternal to God? Because they have the stone kingdom Daniel and John The Revelator saw in vision. whose builder and maker is God. They have the Highway to Holiness that Isaiah saw and said that the ransomed of the the Lord would walk in it. For Joseph Smith is the only prophet that God had established Zion back again on earth with. So hes called the Prophet of the Restoration. And God did promise there would come a day of restoration in the last days. There's only one place on earth that the people were all gathereing to come to Zion and that's the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day saints which is the kingdom of Zion written about in the scriptures that all the prophets saw and foretold.. There's no other Zion on the earth where there's a mass gathering of people from all nations on the earth except for the latter-day Zion that God had restored back to earth...To gather Israel on Both sides of the veil of both the living and also the dead. That is how I know because the Bible prophecies all point towards not just to the Messiah with his ministry in Israel but also towards the latter-day gathering to Zion in the last days.
@@germanslice Joel does indeed prophecy of continued revelation coming from the Lord and the Apostles in Acts 2 cite this prophecy as an explanation as to what is happening during the day of Pentecost. Also, as someone who identifies as a cautious charismatic, I don't necessarily have a theological problem with God speaking to someone through a dream or vision or through some other means. I strongly believe that God is a personal God and He still speaks to and guides His people today. Whether that is through reading His Word, listening to His Word being preached, or through some other means like an impression or a dream. My view though is that scripture reigns supreme and if God speaks to someone, then the contents of the message will be consistent with the message of scripture and will not contradict the message of scripture. Additionally, I believe that with the death of the 12 Apostles, public binding revelation has ceased. Even during times where we would both agree that the canon was open, Scripture was sufficient enough to provide one with a flourishing spiritual life per Joshua 1:8 and 2 Timothy 3:16-17. So, I don't think it would be catastrophic spiritually if God decided to close the canon with the death of the Apostles. The 12 Apostles had a unique function and ministry and authority and a good case can be made from scripture itself that the 12 Apostles had a unique ministry that can't be repeated after their death. Even if that is not the case and sola scriptura and a closed canan is doctrinally wrong, the question would still remains, is Joseph Smith a true prophet? How can we determine that he was? How would you answer that question? How one interprets Zion is largely dependent on one's eschatology. As a historic pre-millenest, I often times interpret Zion in the Old Testament prophetic literature to literally be referring to the physical city of Jerusalem. Even if I were to accept the premise that Joseph Smith was really a prophet of God, I would reject the premise that Joseph Smith was tasked with restoring Zion as that is the purpose of the Messiah per Isaiah 11. I agree with you that Christ will appear to His people in Israel during that great day of the Lord, but all the research I have done on Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon would indicate Joseph Smith's track record with respect to the historical accuracy of his claims are quite abysmal and that indicates that there is nothing divine in his message. Surely a prophet of God would get a decent amount right, even if we ditch the doctrine of inerrancy. Looking at his claims and what was going on in the culture during that time, it is far more likely that the teachings of Joseph Smith were more the result of trends and beliefs of the 1830s and 40s than any sort of divine revelation. When you look at things like the popular mound builder myth during that time and contemporary books that try to make the case the Native Americans were really the lost tribes of Israel, it becomes clear that Joseph Smith was not receiving some sort of novel divine revelation.
