So here we go , Far Cry Primal . This is only happening due to the fact that i recieved a free key for it . As i have said a couple of times i never would have bought far cry primal from my own money .
When i recieved the free key i wasn´t even up to try the game at all since it suffered from massive mouse problems . Luckily enough a smart guy found out how to fix it and it was posted on the web ( ubisoft forums / steam ) . After that ubisoft brought this fix into their next patch . Just take a second and think about how fucked up this shit realy is . Ubisoft releases Far Cry 4 with a very simular mouse problem wich makes the game unenjoyable or for me personaly even unplayable . A random guy found out whats broken and fixed it ( Ubisoft didn´t know how to fix it ) and Ubisoft brought this fix to their new Patch . More then 1 year later and they release Far Cry Primal and the EXACT same shit happens again . Mouse is broken , they dont know how to fix it and the community needed to fix it . This on a Game wich is based on the same fucking engine they are using since Far Cry 3 came out in late 2012 and ever since the Far Cry Games suffered from simular problems .
FC3 = negative Accel ; FCBD = negative Accel ; FC4 = positive Accel , FCP = mouse Deadzone . Again , all these games got the same Engine , the problem was well known on the Ubisoft Side and still we get a fuck launch with broken ass mouse controls every time ..... Not to mention the shitton of other questionable design choices interms of the controls .
At least there is a silver lining and they seemed to actually care about feedback from the past games and took care of some pretty idiotic shit from back then . Finaly we can skip cutscenes and do as many savegames as we want . Even a quicksave / quickload option found the way into the game altough i gotta say its not a real quicksave / quickload but its at least something and it feels way better then having to press a single key to go to the last checkpoint instead of pressing ESC and having to navigate to the menu ....
Casual Walkthrough Gameplay whise its your typical ubisoft open world far cry game . You start together with an ally , you quickly get into an uncomfortable situation where you loose the mentioned ally , you need to flee , you will quickly find a new ally wich then leads to more new allys with rather boring quests for you to check off to get gear upgrades / unlocks or xp rewards . Nothing´s changed . The 10.000 BC setting obviously is something that will split the fans and i can understand that since i was very sceptical about it aswell . I got to admit after giving it a chance i was ok with it , its just something different but one thing is for sure : Oros is truly a beautiful place to explore , the graphics are realy kick ass .
Mechanic whise its obviously absolutely the same and nothing new . Apart from the animals it feels pretty much the same and the animals itself aren´t that exploidable and fun to use anyway , at least for me . Another very limiting fact is the lack of great gadgeds like the wingsuit of course . Iam also still searching for some ATV´s to blow up and land on others heads , couldn´t fine some yet unfortunately . Level / Outpost Design and their enemy placements are as expected average at best and another huge limiting factor same as the again slow animations , key activations , weapon switches and all that sort of stuff .
At the end i gotta say i enjoy the game at least that much that i can see me spending time on making more videos on it , at least as long as iam still enjoying it and if the feedback from you guys are supportive interms of what iam and i will be doing with the game . This quick little video is a small start and a glimpse what kind of gameplay you can expect from me when it comes to Far Cry Primal . Hope you guys enjoy it , Feedback is welcome .

what do you think about how aiming feels in 4k? prefer it?
Definitely not prefering it over 1080p feeling whise but i found a workaround to get pretty much the same feeling as i have in 1080p . It´s just not working that well in Far Cry Games because the Framerates are to low with around 70-90 ish and as frames go low input lag goes high with the dunia 2 engine . But Dishonored in 4k feels pretty much like Dishonored in 1080p , wich iam super happy about since this should mean that future Dishonored Videos will be also in 4k for example like the Final on Kingsparrow Island and ofc every video following .
That was a great video! One question, can you go through the game without any animal companions? From the videos I've seen, the animals can give you away when you are trying to be stealthy.

Will upload a benchmark video on my secondary channel tomorrow eventually . GPU Usage at 4k is fine but at 1440p / 1080p its pretty shit .
Try to do a comparison of 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p frame rates (if possible). Either way, looking forward to it.

Hey Clocker, besides what you have said in your comment regarding the mouse problems, how do you feel about a far cry game with no guns?
Well , looking back i might took shit a bit too serious . Obviously far cry primal is a spin off and very far away from the usual but it works .Far Cry primal is ok and was fairly playable after the usual piece of shit ubisoft launch , which is still an absolute disgrace and which still shouldn't be happening at all but apparently this sort of stuff became standard . Not only for ubisoft but also for a huge amount of other companies i once respected a lot like ID Software ( Doom 2k16 ) .
Coming back to primal , i think for a fair amount of people the game can become boring very quickly , i mean very very quickly . One part of it is the lack of weapons and the whole concept of it . You are basically doing the same stuff all the time no matter which aspect of the game we are talking about . The mechanics of the game are also exhausted quite quickly and every outpost liberation will become the same . That's one huge part why i have stopped with making far cry primal videos ( for now !? ) and outpost liberation's . There is simply nothing more i can do with that game then the stuff i did already . Well , at least nothing which could motivate me enough to turn the game on again . Also there is many completely stupid and broken shit in the game which was working just fine in previous far cry games but well , that's another ubisoft thing right ? Fucking up franchises with every new release until they are that shit that no one want's to deal with it anymore . Just look at assassins sheet . In conclusion i would only recommend far cry primal if it's on a sale . It's way to average and it becomes boring way to quickly that it would be worth to spend the full price on it . I'd say 1/3 of the full price or maybe even just 1/4 of it would be ok . Half price would still be to much imo because of the mentioned reasons .
I think what I liked most about Primal was the perspective it put on modern life.
