Vendetta V fair enough but the beauty of music is that any voice can be compatible with any song. It's about the execution. There's no such thing as a voice not suiting a song. The original may be better but I wouldn't say his voice doesn't suit the song. But ur point is fair
his voice is perfect for this song, he can get those high notes pretty good but no one can match the original of Al's version

my favorite part of this cover is that the vocals and guitar are not overdone. captures the original feeling very nicely, very well done

This is the thing with millennial RUclips singers, they think they're too cool for the old jams. My favourite artist is the weeknd and I listen to music like that but also love and appreciate music back in the day, this exact era of al green, temptations, chi lites, the dramatics , etc. I was waiting for this exact cover and Stan killed it with his buddy, good job man. Your version is so sad to me. I love oldies and Al is one of my favorite singers. It’s just that this song reminds me of someone I almost fell in love with. It was pure and sweet, and he was just like an old son. He was timeless and someone who seemed different on the outside but when you really listened to him he had such deep meaning. Just like this song, every second that ticked by was a second that our time together was coming to an end. I miss him, and this song makes it painfully obvious that I do. Still, I love this version of it. It’s bittersweet, but I’m addicted just like I was to him.
