Chef JP your passion is cooking, you can’t beat that! I am a Registered Nurse here in the States but my passion is cooking , I have been watching Chinese cooking shows since I was 8 years old, never stood the language although my Grandfather is from Hong Kong. But I watched him cooked and my late Father loves food so since I am the oldest I learned how to cook at early age. So it’s my hobby and still watching cooking shows .That is our gift from God! I used to buy South Beach Diet at Mai Pao near lagoon, cor 6 th st and lacson st, the original restaurant. So sad to know that you closed during the pandemic but your employees continued the restaurant in another location. Mai Pao will always be a landmark restaurant in Bacolod, Chef JP!

Im the opposite. Good in Science and Math, pursued Engineering as a career but always loved cooking and aspired to become a kusinero. I had my parents support for both when I was younger but was afraid to take the route you’ve taken. That’s why its really great watching you and your channel, and dreaming of the “what if” 😊. Anyway its a pleasure just cooking for family and friends. And so proud of what you’re doing for Filipino food.
