I'd like to think topical questions would be more helpful, since you can focus on areas that you're weak at, whereas with past papers, you'll also end up wasting time solving questions you're already comfortable with. I wish you all the best!
Hi. I'm posting a full guess paper for the Pure 1 exam paper at 6pm CAT tomorrow, and spoiler alert, it does include a transformation question. I hope that helps!
hi there! i just started my as and like u i had to start my classes a few weeks late :(( i have covered quadratics and binomial expansion in and out of class so far, should i start doing topicals or should i focus on covering another chapter first? also, i wish to be done with the pure 1 content hopefully by november, do u think thats an unrealistic goal?
I like the fact that you're doing some work by yourself outside of the lessons. Good job! Generally, I would advise you not to move to the next topic before you've mastered the current one. So I would suggest learning the topic and then doing the topical questions. Once you're comfortable with the topic, move on to the next one. Topics tend to overlap with each other, so it only makes it harder if you move on to the next topic prematurely. I think the question you should be asking yourself is why you want to go through it so quickly. You probably want to peak at a subject about a month or two before the final examination, so I don't see the use of rushing to finish pure 1. But if you have a good reason by all means go for it.
I hope this questions will help me in my exams.. If it actually helps,I will subscribe your.channels with all of my phone in my family whether it's mine or not :) 🥰
Do a lot of topical questions in the areas that you're weak in. Study consistently. Sleep well. And don't freak out in the actual exam, otherwise all the preparation will be all for nothing.
hey bro I wanted to ask should we focus on doing topical questions repeatedly or move onto topicals after doing topicals once tbh when I do topicals more than one time I remember the question and also I always finish the exam in time so like I just want to ask which would be the better option?
I'm not quite sure I understand the question, but if I'm getting you right, then I think you should understand the theory first, then move on to topical questions, once you understand topical questions you can move on to past papers. Then as you do past papers you'll notice that may be certain concepts you still don't understand, do topical questions for those topics then once that's sorted you can go back to past papers. And keep rotating like that. I'm not sure if that helps.
It just depends where you at right now in terms of understanding p1 and s1. Ideally right now you'd be doing full past papers and for some of them try to simulate an exam environment. You could also identify the topics that you are weak in and drill them by doing topical questions.
I’ve done plenty of past paper questions but I have some challenges with a few question types. I have 5 days until my exam do you recommend me to still do those questions on geo?
