As much as I hate watching my favorite team go out of worlds like this, I do feel happy for the GAM and VCS fans, knowing that they would rewatch this epic base defense over and over and talk about it for days or weeks after their teams missing worlds for 2 years straight.
@@johnpauljonesisabadass8134 i mean rge was through anyways so its fine for them to try out other picks for seeing what matchups work for them, plus unironically the nasus support wasnt even the problem that game. the issue was just top jungle getting farmed and solo laners having no map pressure. As a counterpick nasus support is actually viable option (this game its definitely not so much of a good pick because its heimer ashe long poke easy hard cc combo) but with/ against the right team nasus support is actually really good because his w e he can 95% slow someone and cripple them and remove LITERALLY HALF of an entire teams armor with an instant aoe ability. nasus plus mf does actually insane dmg especially if you have an engage cc jungle like amumu or sej even vi or camile works well. basically hes good when you have high burst dmg adc like mf samira or varus, and you are facing a team that wants to aa like a jinx trynd kalista or sivir.
GAM made an Epic match with FNC in world 2017 which is shocked and surprised everyone. Today they made it again for their 1st appearance in world since covid struck world. This time they beat TES the LPL 2nd seed.

Even when he did if the other 3 didn't waste 1-2 seconds thinking on what to do when sett rush out & later Karthus ult. They would have input that 2 extra auto to win it. They choked at that moment really
The most important thing about this base defense is that after losing this game, TES won the other 2 ending 3-3, if not, they'd have been 4-2 with a triple tie, probably eliminating Rogue in the tie breaker since Rogue lost both games against DRX and their game against TES today
@@pawegrzywna5191 they were banned out on that game. Trymbi's rakan and soraka was banned and Odo's champ pool is not that deep. So they have to make some creative picks even if TES won against GAM. I think DRX also got them figured out and they played so clean today.

This was so fucking hype. You get this sometimes in ARAMs. Incredibly hype moment to see in pro play. You get a couple games like that in LCS where it's incredibly tense at the end. But that entire back and forth game quality all the way through was chefs kiss. GAM really withstood TES and converted the comeback just fighting their way out. I thought TES was gonna win with the item advantages but their team fight execution late fell apart. This was a game of hands diff and it had a clinic on both sides.

Because im pretty sure drx has the fastest average time in their wins, after that would be tes and than rogue as last which would end up in tes favor. Because they would have side selection for blueside and since rogue’s losses today were all on red side and ofc blueside has a 55% wr in groupstage. So I could see them dropping out if the tiebreakers were to happen. But in the end those are “what if” moments. Edit: rogue is not bad by any means but they didn’t show a strong performance in week 2. Although they had a good week 1.

EU teams are always good at BO1, but after being exposed in their first games, LCK/LPL teams usually read them like a book
