It shouldnt be used to change the whole voice and make them sound like a robot. Infact I'm 90% sure that alborosie uses auto tune in this song. You can hear it in the last part more when he goes to the higher notes, underneath the delay and reverb, listen closely and you'll hear it where theyve corrected his pitch as he goes up the scale to keep it in key :)
