Hi, new user here, love the app and have been watching all the tutorials, very helpful. One thing I cannot figure out while planning navigation / trips is how to change the start point for navigation (always defaults to current location / position). I don't always want to start from home... Thanks, Fausto
Hi 👋 please look through the Help Guides as one of them is named Creating Routes and covers your query. Essentially the first place you add to your plan is your start point of choice then add additional places to route along. When you save your current location is not saved so you can open your Trek when you reach your start point with all routing saved for offline turn by turn navigation.
Really enjoying the great app! Is there any way to create turn by turn navigation when offline? This would be helpful to have directions to follow when plans change in remote areas. Thank you.
Sorry for delay in responding to your valid question. The app is designed to use "Treks" for offline navigation so you need to make these first when online, then follow a Trek for the turn by turn guidance for times when you want that.
Thanks for the tutorial and I do use the app on our caravan trips - mainly the maps (so I know where we are) or places to navigate to. However I was wondering, can you navigate to a GPS location? I wouldn't normally use this feature, but to do the Giants of Mandurah recently (all 5, fortunately before one of them burnt down) and to get to the start of each giant you needed to navigate to a GPS location. So I just wanted to check how to do it in this app (sorry I haven't recently read the user manual so it may be covered here). Thanks
Yes you sure can. In fact there's a few options. 1. Tap the Gps lock icon and touch/move the map so it's not showing your current location and you'll notice a box appear at the top with coordinates...this show the position now in the map centre which will be shown in cross-hairs. Now tap those coordinates and enter or paste where you want to go...then press go. The map will go there. 2. If you want to save tap the pin to create a place there. 3. You can skip step 1 and just tap the pin then overwrite the lat/long field before saving with your desired location.
Thanks for the tutorial. I have just purchased ExplorOz Traveller and this is the first thing I am trying to do. When I go to save the Navigation the Save icon is there but it is greyed out and I cannot save the navigation. Could you please advise what I am missing, I am sure it is something very easy... Perhaps you could recommend the best tutorial to view first when starting out with your product.
Thanks for the tutorial it is very helpful, when l use the navigation l always struggle to choose the correct route when given the choice. I know now why the two colours you have chosen look exactly the same to me, are you able to change those colours ? A clear contrast in colours would be great for the many partially colour blind people.
Hi. Just purchased this software and am going through the youtube instructional videos. Don't know whether anyone else has this problem but I am struggling to hear what you're saying. The sound quality of on the two demos I've watched is pretty bad on my desktop computer. I think maybe you need to invest in a better microphone.
Sorry for the delayed response. Sometimes differences in audio occur because we record on different days and edit it together. We use Bose recording equipment so original audio should be fine but sometimes the mixing etc can get affected in editing.
Agreed within the above poster…your audio recording equipment is not doing the job and the sound quality on your videos is very poor. This detracts from an otherwise good service and creates the impression of an amateurish presentation (which it is not!)

Hi Vicky to save as a Trek you need at least 2 Places in your nav plan. I suspect you only have 1.

We can look into it, had no idea of anyone experiencing problems with this.
@davidwatson1089 just confirming that we took your feedback and this is now available (as of v8 released in March 23).

Sound is too low
