In the eighties I worked in auto parts at a Canadian tire store and one other clerk talked like Darrill. Was single, uni educated, kind of an English accent, and always looking for Land Rover (the original kind) parts. No pony tail though. Good guy.
0:47 "Come on. Tell me, you old Hound Dog, Quarterback, Rock and Roll, Dennis the Menace, Indian Warrior. Huh? Huh-huh?" makes me very happy. You can see the kid begin to crack when Mark flicks his lips.
Not by a long shot. To be fair, I got into KITH when I lived in Germany as a kid, and besides AFN, the only channels we could get in English (on a clear day) were from Britain, which is how I first saw it. When we move back to the states, I found out a lot of my friends were fans, too.
I'm such a sucker, but I love Daryll. Yes, he's a massive dork, but he's very kind, educated, mannerly, thoughtful, donates his time to charity, loves his mother, and is Mark McKinney with long hair. I would have a coffee date with and then devirginate Daryll.
Kids in The Hall as a performing troupe have been around since 83/84 but never started to appear on television until 1988. Been a fan of them since the beginning. Hard to believe the show has already been off the air for 25 years.
Outstanding skit. Should have made more of these... watching the new KITH documentary. Hilarious. Sometimes the show was not good but then other times they did outstanding work. Also great theme song
Brilliant as usual. Canadian comedy rules. But the painting actually was a depiction of the ill fainted charge of the Scots Greys at the battle of Waterloo in 1815. Just saying......
I remember back in the day this show was still on and it was so funny. Tons of people liked it, then you'd get that odd suburban guy or two who refused to watch it because men dressed up as women, and that was too "gay" for them.
Ya as a kid it made me uncomfortable and I found the amount of cross dressing disturbing. I just started watching them today and it's pretty funny to be sure..
3:55 that's a University of MI hat! Ann Arbor. I lived in Ypsilanti which is right next to the city; Ypsi is like totally ghetto it's a rough place trust me I could only last 1 year
Believe in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, God in human form, the only son of God the Father in heaven. He lived the perfect life we can’t and died on the cross for all, shedding his perfect blood in full payment forever for all our sins, including yours, as a free gift from God. Then he was buried, and then was resurrected back from the dead 3 days later by Father God, to eternal life. Giving all who would believe in him and what he did for us- total forgiveness, a fixed relationship with God, complete salvation from judgement, and eternal life. If you believe and confess Jesus Christ is the Lord and savior of all, You too will be saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Gods spirit will live inside of you, and he will guide you in all his ways. Read the Bible and get water baptized, as a means of saying thank you, and to keep growing closer to God. May our Father in heaven bless you through Jesus Christ. Amen.
can we also acknowledge how good the kid is? brilliant.
Scott's old man is one of the funniest fucking things I have ever seen lol
Scott Thompson as the old man cracks me up every time I see this sketch.
Scott Thompson was brilliant at playing senile old men This skit and his character in "Sausages"
harrde...purrrde sheeda purrde harrde WHEEZE
I would so visit that shop, and not just seven more times.
Scott plays a crotchety old man well. He did so in the "Love and Sausages" sketch too.
I love that skit. He's also great as the old man contestant in the skit "Feel Yat" ! Especially, when he get's that bucket put over his head :)
Sausages 👴

"Ya I got a problem ... I got a girl pregnant"
"Holy cow ! But your only 8 ! Is that even possible ?"
"No"
JC Adriana best part of the video for sure !
If you revisit this clip just SEVEN MORE TIMES you'll see the tin soldier easter egg at the end
ingavar!

I can’t be the only American that absolutely loves this show!
I was raised about a 100 miles from the border.... I watched Kids in the Hall all the time back then. 👍🤣

You're not. It used to air on Comedy Central and HBO
I’M CRUSHING YOUR HEAD! CRUUSH CRUSH

That's Darill. lol, 😉
I like Darril, he is out of touch but lovable. The old saying, "no good deed goes unpunished" comes to mind.

How did that kid actor not lose it when Scott Thompson started maniacally laughing??
I think it was a very heavy smokers cough?
Many many many many takes.
Some kid actors are better than some adult actors. 😉
Not gonna lie, I see a bit of myself in Darril and hate myself for it
You seem VERY entertaining. Somehow I see myself in every character Kevin plays
As well you should.
The painting is 'The Charge of the Scots Greys' depicting the British Cavalry charge from the battle of Waterloo, which took place in 1815
Just as good 32 years later.
The Kids In The Hall : God bless them every one
Never get tired of watching this hilarious sketch 😂!
When he walks in the door in the beginning I think I can hear someone in the audience say, “Darill!”
Yes, it is the same Darill character from the TV painting show sketch.
How he just shoves the kid out the door full force, hahahaha.
Scott Thompson as the old man in this sketch sounds like he's reprising the old man from the infamous sausages sketch.
Outstanding skit. Should have made more of these... watching the new KITH documentary. Hilarious. Sometimes the show was not good but then other times they did outstanding work. Also great theme song
McKinnon's expression at 3:12 fuckin hilarious! Darill is pure genius
one of my favourites
Just 7 more times?! Oh booyyyyy....yay!

If you can find just seven more corrections you can see the tin soldiers as well!
`lmao@ @@theotherwalt….good one!
Very good, I like would to add that the phrase is "ill fated."
He sounded exactly like Stewie from the Family Guy when he said "Do you want a spanking!?" 😆
Comedy but make it art. 💖
supercrazylegs1 - I was just watching Scott thinking this is basically the same character from Love And Sausages, only he doesn't speak English here.
At 3:10 , I think what shocked Darryl (sorry, Darrill) most was that the kid had had sex before he did.
Amusing.
I remember back in the day this show was still on and it was so funny. Tons of people liked it, then you'd get that odd suburban guy or two who refused to watch it because men dressed up as women, and that was too "gay" for them.

Hilarious! One of my favorites :)
I’m sorry I was off schedule Marian, I was unexpectedly beaten by a small child
I'm the old man. I'm the auntie that has started dragging the nieces into antique stores.
2:22 great weez
It's Da-Rill!
Darryl has a Y not an I.................... Darryl (mark) is sooooooooooooooo amazing:) He's smart, funny, sexxie and very talented
If my family was from Canada I would say it was my cousin, because I have one just like Darril.
Oof. That hit way too close to home. Spending time with someone who is out-of-touch like that is miserable. Still funny, though.
Scott plays those weird old men too well man
lol i was nearly crying with laughter
Why didn't you allow yourself to cry? Are you that afraid of your feelings?!
is that the old man from Feelyat?
I wonder if one the reasons Mark played characters like Darril so well is because of his high class upbringing ?
That's all well and fine, but his name isn't Daryl... It's Darill!!!
It's not pronounced Dare-ill... It's Duh-RILL!!!
The show was either hit or miss, imo, but this one of their better skits. I still think that the geeked out Duh-rill character is hilarious
The show was consistently funny until the last couple seasons.
Only seven more times lol
0:30 Holy Sh*t.
I know that bench!
nice kid its what is wrong with other people not us
Who plays the little kid? He reminds me of the kid w/ glasses in "The Sandlot".
He's also the son in the "whole lotta milk-a" sketch.
His name is Daniel DeSanto….he was in Are You Afraid of the Dark and Mean Girls. He continues to act as of 2022!
"Ar harvarv...yackatiska... "
Peace and quiet!!! Daaarillold man Scott Thompson. Stop. To funny fight figbt!!!
What language is the ancient antique guy speaking?
Something vaguely Northern European
Swedish-belgian mix
@@LTPottenger I have always wondered too it sounded Swedish, is Mark speaking it too?
But it is Darryl, he's Belgium, it's pronounced differently because of that.
"Darill"
Justin G. He’s the entire country of Belgium?
they censored the shit out of this in the US
That laugh....
Ah DarrIL😂😂😂
"I'm gonna be that one guy who dislikes this"
-That one guy who disliked this, probably
What kind of accent would you say this was?
He's Dutch.
Dutch maybe? Search for 'feeliat' sketch. Darrill is in that too. Game show sketch very similar to a crazy Monty python bit
Can someone help me.im looking for the pet business man skit but i cant find it.
Wow, I know I have seen it but I can not find it anymore.

Darril = today's hipster?
I feel quite sure that kid is the actor who played Lt. Worf's son, Alexander, in Star Trek the Next Generation. Any seconds?
I believe the actor is Daniel DeSanto, he played the son in the KITH "Whole lotta milka" sketch as well. I don't think he was in Star Trek.
Crap video ruined by commercials.
