Very disappointed in the poor images of th e carvings in #1. Can barely see a thing you're talking about.

There is no way the runestone is authentic. It isn't even in the correct alphabet for the period.

Scott went into the details of why he said it was authentic.
Such as the time it takes roots to do to the stone what they did, etc.
Also, it was the "hooked X" that linked this stone to Prince Sinclair who was the one who came over during that time and left other constructions behind.
