- Dave qualified for the Golden Rod final at Lindholme Lakes winning the match with 65lb, the final is contested at Larford Lakes.
Over 60 anglers qualified for the final up and down the country through out the winter of 2022/23.
Now with over £30,000 up for grabs can Dave bring home the title of Golden Rod feeder Champion 2023.
DAY 2 - Dave going into the 2nd day with a section win and draws peg 26 on match Lake.... is this his chance ?

You qualified for the final. That’s a heck of an achievement in itself.
Dave, an unfortunate last day but if they aren't there you can't catch them! Don't beat yourself up you are getting closer every time. The Premier league is tuff but your getting closer and able to compete with the big boys but at the same time you are helping us pond life improve and along with Nosh are entertaining us at the same time and not many are doing that! Keep On Baggin!!!

Well done David you got there that's the first achievement you got a section first on the first day brilliant mate second day was anyone's with the weather going wrong on you thinking most of us have been there in points matches i fished our 3 rivers two years back bure thurne and yare 1 point day one 28lb big skimmers. Last in section day two with just under 10lb. Won the river yare with 54lb bream day 3 1 point. Day 2 killed me LOL well done again mate onwards and upwards

If you had day 2 again and all things same, what would you do differently now ?
Thanks buddy - should have fished feeder with long tail and corn or maggot.
And could concentrate on the edge in the last 1 hour a bit more with maggots instead of pellets.

Makes sense but such a big call against the knowledge you have and based on previous sessions in the videos.
I’m still finding my way fishing matches and I end up with a load of different baits and about 20 different plans and then still end up confused…
I always convince myself I’d be catching more if I did this and that when I should probably stick to something and build the swim steadily…

I feel your pain having put yourself in such a good position on the first day, would you have felt differently if you had day's 2 result on the first day, and then had a section win with a big weight on the second day ? probably not, you gave it a good go, you can only catch what is in front of you, as you say the weather turned cold and the fish ball up. What a shame Dave you looked gutted in the video but Don't be to disheartened you got to the final which is a great achievement on its own
you had a great practice and then a great first round which put you in a strong position
But the second day was just unlucky where you drew you could have been next door where that guy was catching Carp they just balled up in his swim nothing you could have done
Try and forget it now and qualify again next year and I am sure you will win or frame your time will come
But your channel is growing each day and I enjoy it the most out of all the other angler's out there and there are some great channels out there

If the fish aren’t there , you can’t catch them . The draw is such a big decider on what you catch , but head up to the next match , have a few beers 🍻

See in your demeanour the dissapointing after two good days out of the three, but as you've said in the past "you cannot catch whats not in front of you".
