My sister and I drew her pictures back in the day of her car and even though she was beyond busy she took extra time with us and hung our drawings in her race trailer.. thats a childhood memory we always remembered together..what a great lady
Shirley YOU ARE A CLASS ACT AND I LOVE YOU ! You gave me chills watching this interview and my eyes kept watering up !! You are such an incredible WOMAN ! LOVE YOU LOTS !!!
Love this interview and LOVE this lady! She is just so awesome! Shirley thank you for everything you've done in your entire life! I have certainly enjoyed watching you!
I had the honors of meeting Shirley muldowney at raceway Park englishtown New Jersey. I'm not sure what a year I think it was 1994. I showed her a picture of my 1966 charger and she signed the back of the picture. She told me she loved those old vintage cars. And I should thank you that was it 😂❤️👍
Not many people in the states that, tell it like it is. Such an impressive human. She brings up so many things you never think about. Great interviewer, great interviewee.
Loved watching cha cha race. A beautiful and wonderful woman. Thanks for the memories Shirley. I loved watching you pull up against BIG Daddy. Such a great woman.
Refreshing interview, nice to hear what really happened over the years, to see Shirley at ease telling her story. New movie with a Shirley-approved racing enthusiast down low, yes please!
I used to watch Shirley run at Sanair over the years and had the opportunity to speak with her many times. I consider myself very lucky to have met Shirley. Meeting her was certainly one of the high points of my life. Keith Crozier Montreal
We always went to meet her in her pit at Sanair, she was a rebel and we had nothing but the highest opinion of her. The girlfriends needless to say loved her too. The friendliest professional i have ever met. Sure miss those days.
This is about all it is about the finish line and the challenge of staying really real. Hope others see inspiration as self determination is a happening !! Whoa blown away she’s so solid. Full throttle what a thrill that’s history!!
I was there when she was in Edmonton Alberta and I had the privilege of speaking with her for at least 1/2 hour. I got a pit pass BECAUSE she was there. Loved her then, and still love her now. Became a fan when I watched "Heart Like a Wheel"
I was young when saw Shirley first time...or Cha Cha...the beautiful women with English Leather sponsored pink rail. My heroess. I think her & Connie Kalitta had called it quits. She was something else & respected by all the men racing. Hi Shirley...hope u have many more great years. U r still loved.
Wow...Having grown up in Schenectady as well, this interview gives me goosebumps. Sooo cool. My dad actually had Jack Muldowny as a technician at an engineering firm in Latham, NY
There was a dragster back in the 60s that you raced against it was called the vermontster . Milton Vermont drag strip not sure if you remembered it , Frankie Woodward and John Keefer. The vermontster was found in a barn about 5 yrs ago and put back together . Frankie got back in the car at Naperville Canada about 4 yrs as he was approaching 80 yrs young . The car has been to some of the local car shows. Good times for all.
I had breakfast with her in like 1974. Well, it was memorable because my dad and I were eating with Cale Yarboro, Richard Petty, & Granddaddy Don Garlits waiting on this chick to show up. I was only like 8'ish, so I did not catch it really, but I think it was Petty that was poking fun at Mr. Don about Ms. Shirly showing up. She was late. Not real late because we were just having coffee yet. Richard was not letting it go. "What about that Shirley Muldowney?" "What about that Shirley Muldowney?" And it was all Cale could do to sip on his coffee. Finally, Mr. Garlits just blurted out almost angry, "SHE'S FAST!" and nobody was drinking coffee then. It was SO funny. I actually didn't have a clue who I was sitting with (at the time) nor who she was. I'm just having breakfast with "the guys" at the Big Boy in Florence, with dad, and happy we got the big round booth table. She pulled in in a bright PINK Peterbuilt sleeper, with a hot pink (probably 63-foot trailer) that had to be parked at the edge of the parking lot, LONG WAYS. And out jumped that lady in your picture.
And i have ocean front property in Arizona for sale at a buck an acre as much as you like. A huge yaght is parked there with women ready to party as soon as the payment is made.
Still has it is right. In her last race in 03 she lost to Cory Mac after cutting .028 light to Cory's .057. If the she had the coin over the years that some of the others had she'd have won 6 titles I believe. A driver she was. The sport today is better because she was there. Love you Shirley.
I wish you could ask her about the gas that she gave to John force so that he could go onto his next race that made his career what it is one of his old crew chiefs or whatever you wanna call them the pit crew my dad did some work for him and he told the story about Shirley give a John fuel to go onto the next race wish you could ask her God bless you and your family God bless you my darling and her family God bless the world it’s all just get along
Not a fan of Shirley muldowney. That being said she helped drag racing in so many ways. She is a fantastic and legitimate champion. Utmost respect for the lady.

Shirley YOU ARE A CLASS ACT AND I LOVE YOU ! You gave me chills watching this interview and my eyes kept watering up !! You are such an incredible WOMAN ! LOVE YOU LOTS !!!
I've always been a fan but after hearing her thoughts on 1000' racing and the clowndown, I think I love her.
There are still several of us that refuse to run 1000 foot. That is why events like the March meet are huge!
Love this interview and LOVE this lady! She is just so awesome! Shirley thank you for everything you've done in your entire life! I have certainly enjoyed watching you!
💯
I loved watching her In Union Grove Wisconsin. I met her years later in Joliet at a racers fundraiser. Such a classy lady.
Great choice to interview Shirley.

She's awsome and so humble. Very cool!
Great great interview, so cool hearing Shirley recount her legendary life in what I consider the glory years of drag racing
Glad you enjoyed it
No denying that she opened the door for females in motorsports racing. Off-track, a very nice person. On-track, a very fierce competitor.
Refreshing interview, nice to hear what really happened over the years, to see Shirley at ease telling her story. New movie with a Shirley-approved racing enthusiast down low, yes please!
I mean, most people have no idea how brave you gotta be to seriously launch a 2500hp 1980s Top Fuel car. WOW.
Awesome episode, what a proper legend she is.
A legend , the greatest. First Lady of Drag Racing
I want to know when she will be in Burlington, I'm from VT and have family there, would love to go back to see her, what a great interview!

The Greatest of all Time !
I don't know if the first lady of drag racing is bespoke enough for her I think it should be Shirley Muldowney the queen of drag racing

Truely a Class Act !!!!!
Long live this great legend and amazing role model.
we agree !
She was in the ring !
I have two heroes.... She's one of them!!
I met Shirley at Norwalk raceway. It was nearly 40 years ago.
Wow...Having grown up in Schenectady as well, this interview gives me goosebumps. Sooo cool. My dad actually had Jack Muldowny as a technician at an engineering firm in Latham, NY
That's very cool, appreciate you watching and sharing that info.

@@mikep4823 I'll take it all :D
Great story. Agree on sportpoints. Again great
Thanks, Larry...glad you enjoyed.
She was my childhood Hero! I raced dirt track and demolition derby'd, but never got the chance to legally drag race.
This is a legend pro driver and she’s proven this in white nuckle cruising all along . I’m impressed with her grit!!
she is an amazing lady for sure !
Jack Muldowny was the catalyst to Shirley's career. Life is a journey and it evolves.
Her mind is still as fast as the records that she set in her TOP FUEL DRAGSTER
Heart like a wheel was just her starting. I love you Shirley.
Id been therr hating you eith the others but i wss born exactly 53 years ago. 7/7/71
I would love to see her son interviewed as well.
What a babe!❤
Ole Timmy P getting it done!!!
I need to see that crossed header flames picture 😂
She made a movie called hart of wheels it showed how see started racing. Man time is flying
Yes, she was the subject of that movie. Did a lot for her and drag racing
Uh, 'Heart Like a Wheel', with Bonnie Bedilia, as Shirley Muldowney.
OMG OMG OMG She said she failed the written driver's license exam her first try ... I laughed SO HARD.
Was this interview actually in 2022? Thanks in advance.
Very humble lady and one heck of a driver behind the wheel of a top fuel dragster.
Still has it is right. In her last race in 03 she lost to Cory Mac after cutting .028 light to Cory's .057. If the she had the coin over the years that some of the others had she'd have won 6 titles I believe. A driver she was. The sport today is better because she was there. Love you Shirley.
Super lady
I/we raced against her twice in NHRA AA/FC class. She won one of them and I/we won the other. She was not a gracious loser.
收藏了所有勤深深的歌。每一首都百听不厌。如果有机会可以再听到新的合作, 会非常非常期待。克勤和周深的组合, 是我心目中华语歌界的梦之组合, 没有之一。
Nitro love
I wish you could ask her about the gas that she gave to John force so that he could go onto his next race that made his career what it is one of his old crew chiefs or whatever you wanna call them the pit crew my dad did some work for him and he told the story about Shirley give a John fuel to go onto the next race wish you could ask her God bless you and your family God bless you my darling and her family God bless the world it’s all just get along
