Wonderful young actors, especially the littlest guy. The best moment was at the very end: children’s creative imagination nurtured by a supportive adult who never lost his own.
I think its important for our young ones to have dreams such as these and Its our duty to assist and steer them in that direction. One can only hope for a world full of dreams coming true and not a world full of wars and destruction and dreams getting ruined.... Great Video!!
I grew up dirt poor and only because of a truck with books about space and the planets did I ever think of a life outside of this one and a future more than what I'd been living through. You are so right about this...
You are absolutely right. This is a parenting video. Mom fought their dreams, so they went ahead and dreamed anyway. Father did play with them for one minute, but entertained the dream they had, and they listened. As simple as that - listen to your kids and support them, that's all it takes.
@@satyamkatiyar4343 that's exactly what I told my parents, they just went "no" and kept saying school is good and they went through it and so did their parents etc, it's just so stupid in my opinion
Simply wonderful! I watched this and then immediately showed it to my six year old daughter who's also aspiring to become an astronaut. Needless to say she was thrilled by it and now wants to build her own cardboard spaceship... 😊
That's why it's a "short", 200 hours of filming, 9 minutes and 23 seconds of usable footage! But seriously, how cute was that?! Awesome acting from some rising stars of the future, so down to earth in its realism, and yet so well put together
I really appreciate how the one girl enjoys being flight control although she's not going to space. She's fascinated by other tasks then just seeing phenomena with her own eyes. Definitely my favourite! :) All together, awesome film!

I love this film! I was just like those kids, a die-hard fan of Tom Corbett, Space Cadet, when I got my first space helmet in 1952, at age 6. Now, 67 years later, I would be delighted to play space missions with those little astronauts. I suppose there must be a place for a space great-grandpa. When my oldest, now 44, was 6, I built him a space ship out of old fiber barrels, army surplus parts, and imagination. His space suit got all my old Air Force patches and ribbons, and a helmet made from a plastic outdoor lighting globe with embroidery hoops for the attaching rings.
@MoralSingularity hahaha, no leveling the playing field so that it is even isn't making it harder for boys. Nobody is telling boys they are shit, or that men are evil. They are telling girls they are worthwhile and women that they too can be leaders. Reverse the genders of those kids, would you blink about 4 boys reluctantly allowing their little sister to play? Remember that building one group up, does not pull another group down.

Totally agree. That was my first thought, too. So nerdy and so childish at the same time. And the fact the little brother was allowed in as a space travel participant.
This short film is a welcome distraction. No evil or circumstance can halt progress. The only resource we should exploit now is our imagination. Individually always. Collectively inspired. I love Dust short films. Give this one less than ten minutes and I promise you an inspirational tear.
I think is important, not only for children, but also for scientists and engineers to remember, our curiosity, imagination and playfulness is what brings us the greatest results. Everything from placing a telescope into space or mount a satelite on a comet. Such crazy ideas, yet they were not possible have it not been for our persistence to pursue even the wildest dreams.
This is such a cute story. A child's imagination is never bound to just an earthly realm. Sky's the limit and beyond. For those of you who gave this a thumbs down. Shame on you. When did you loose your inner child?
how precious and pure is the mind and soul of a kid......live on sweet childhood and live your dreams. reality is your heaven or hell. morning ends your dreams.
What a sweet and compelling film. Very old-fashioned, in a gently ironic way. One important point of order: first woman in space was Valentina Tereshkova, who went up all by herself in '66. Sally Ride, correctly identified as the first American woman in this video, was only third overall, behind Svetlana Savitskaya, who served a rotation on Mir in '82. The continuing Western refusal to acknowledge these facts is profoundly irritating. (And deeply uncool.)
. Hahahaha! But yes in a USA perspective, kids only have local resource for reference. Gods! Some adults don't even know their local geography! I too, knew about Valentina T (as a kid, only because of her first name, equating her with rest of James Bond's squeezes) and later, of Svetlana. .
