This song had been haunting my mind for since I was a kid. Only found out what it was by the Cybernetic Broadcasting System top 100 in 2004. Immediately sold a kidney to own the record. I only DJ'ed a couple of times but I remembered the row in front of the boot when I played this track.... they all wanted to know what the hell this song was called.
The rapid fire succession of those synth keys are like shards of pleasure injected directly into my brain. Dark and mysterious, yet synthetic and melodic--this is the greatest Italodisco track ever made.
Dario Dell' Aere's voice in Gitano made history and the synths and drum machine sounds by Victor Life (Life De Noir at the time) made this record known forever as the dark side of italo disco!

@MrsAdely Meine guten alten Vinylplatten gebe ich nicht ab. Obwohl mir schon die ein oder andere Platte leider gestohlen wurde. Einen Plattenspieler habe ich ja auch nicht. Unter den alten Platten befindet sich auch die original Thriller LP aus dem Jahre 1983.
@MrsAdely Die Platte "Gitano" war auch nicht in deutschen Charts vertreten, deswegen wundert es mich nicht dass Du sie nicht gekannt hast. Die neueren Scheiben von Fockewulf habe ich mir bis jetzt noch nicht angehört.
