Song 8:5-7 describes the maturity of the body of Christ who cultivated a “leaning heart” and overcame even in the wilderness by walking in the fire of God’s love. We know the end of the story, the Bride will “come up” out of the wilderness in victory leaning upon the One she loves-Jesus.
