    “We reject the claims of any state or alliance to exclusivity. We know the consequences of such limitless ambition. Russia will do everything in its power to prevent this. But we will never allow anyone to threaten us. Our strategic forces are always ready.”

    The UKR forces will be allowed to enter Krynki for another "meat grinder" operation. Krynki is one of the worst choices for a "landing" operation. It's basically just brush, swamp and a lot of smaller creeks. Impossible to transfer armored vehicles and so forth to that landing. they will literally be stepping over the bodies of the previous UKR soldiers taking part in Krynki-1.

    • @dturner8567
      @dturner8567 28 дней назад +24

      On Krynki, Dima fails to mention the logistics and inability to do an offensive with just a small number of infantry. He thinks they will bring over tanks and heavy artillery in little rubber boats. He is getting sloppy and almost impossible to watch anymore. He also says Ru will lose positions in forest/fire area. But the winds are southerly and will push the Ua back, not Ru.

      @@dturner8567 He just want to make things sound more "exiting" than they are. Not the best strategy in my opinion, but it's his channel. I still find his analysis useful though. You just have to cut through the sensationalism. You are right about Krynki of course. Dima's sloppy area of coverage has always been the weather. One of our local boys was stationed in Krynki during the winter. Dima talked about the "cold" with below -20c and such. It was never below -10c all winter long. Dima also completely overlooked or did not mention when footage showed snow and no snow. I criticized him a lot for that during winter, as I knew exactly where there were snow or not. Right now, the wind in Kremenaya forest is from NW. Both UKR and RUS positions will be burned out and to no use for any of the two sides. I think he just tries to create excitement )))

      Stalin rallied the people against the nazis by invoking Russian nationalism, not communism, by calling the war "The Great Patriotic War". This is also the perfect message for Putin at this time. As a Russian patriot, Putin needs to invoke Russian nationalism once again which is an easy enough task given the clear anti Russian stance Nato has taken against Russia since the early 2000s.

    Dima, the one fault you continually make is to use the word 'either' when you should be using 'also'. E.g. at 1:22 you say 'the Russians are moving in this direction either' when you should be saying 'the Russians are moving in this direction also' or, to sound a little smoother and more fluent say 'The Russians are also moving in this direction.'
    You do actually use 'also' correctly elsewhere so you can do it when you try.

    In the summer, it is probably best if the Russians don't take Kiev. It is needed to keep western Ukraine together, especially after Russia takes Odessa which they should. Also, there'd be a mass of people fleeing, and they'd have an excuse to live for free in the West. Which they've wanted ever since the 2014 coup - the media didn't show it to us, but it was all about their hope of getting visa-free travel to the EU if they started with an EU trade agreement. Then they could just move to Western Europe and stay, instead of living in their failed state.

    Correction: I have just found the news about Polish border guards sending back people who try to swim through a border rivner escaping from Ukraine. It is fresh news really. However, this is just standard procedure it would seem. If you cross the border illegally and they catch you in the act you will be sent back.
