I just came here, after finals day at Supertubos 2023, to say that making a film like this and then going out and winning a WSL Championship Tour event a few months later is just an extraordinary achievement. Throughout the almost 60 years since Endless Summer, action sports have been defined by the sometimes opposing visions as art project and competition, though many old hands would argue they absolutely have to be both. Well, at 17, Caitlin Simmers has utterly transcended this divide in a way I don't know we have ever seen before. Congratulations Caity, it's just fantastic.

Went to a little premiere for this in Narragansett, RI hosted by one of our shops, Warm Winds. It was an awesome time, even walked outta the joint with some free “Toasted” merch. Everyone ripped!

Why is Caity Simmers so rad? SHE SKATES. Skating allows one to get so much more ride time developing style without the variability and unpredictability of the wave that makes a few second ride on a surfboard hard enough to get a real feel as it is.
