oh man, these are so awesome. i thought i wouldn't find 'em as interesting seeing that i already watched richards computing 1 lectures a few years ago. but boy oh boy, listening this, i know that i still have a lot to learn from computing 1. what a journey this is going to be!
unsw is probably the only uni in Australia that is worth attending for students who would want to major in CS. It's sad seeing how there is a ton of great lecturers in the US but not 1 tenth as many in Australia.
Assuming slice size 10cm x 10cm x 1cm = 100 cm3 (cubed) and a lecture theatre of approximately 12m depth, 8m width and 4m height, I'd say 3,840,000 slices of toast. It was hard to estimate the size of the lecture theatre from this video. I therefore think that 5 million Iced Vovos would fit in my house. An easier way to work out the Iced Vovo question would be to call Arnott's and work it out based on pallet sizes. I'm going to have a strong cup of tea and a biscuit now.
The thing is, he said to fill the lecture theatre. So, I was thinking about the space that is taken by the people and chairs. Also, the room is a trapezoid due to the slant needed for the chairs. I'm excitted to begin software eng at unsw next year.
What a lecturer. He is just great

My all time fav lecturer in UNSW. That was like 17 years ago.
'Welcome to the Black Parade' reference at 8:54 made me crack up. :D
And War of The Worlds at 11:37
These helped me so much back in the day. Why are they no longer on openlearning?
