  • It's a grim reality, all too common around the Las Vegas valley. For many residents,
paying rent means sacrificing basic necessities like gas and food.

here's the thing: life happens. stuff happens. There was a pandemic which unfortunately a lot of businesses and companies are going to use as an ongoing reason to hike up prices. Hopefully it won't last forever. But life will always hold uncertainties, and that's why responsible people are frugal, save up for life emergencies , set money aside, or if they can't move to a place where they can, etc. That's reality. The fact is, no matter what the government does or social services does, there will always be people like the woman in this video. The goal should be to live your life as responsibly as you can, handle your money and resources whatever they may be, responsibly, and when life sends a curveball your direction, you'll have a far better chance of coping vs. going down to destruction.

Inflation is at the head of all this! When you print more money the value goes down. Think of it this way If you had a very collectible baseball card and it was worth $3 million and then you found out two days later if there’s an entire warehouse filled with all these same baseball cards what do you think would happen to the value? When you print money money becomes less rare in there for the value drops so it cost more money to buy the same amount of goods and services. in a nutshell this is how inflation works. Printing money seems like a solution to all our problems but look at the people that are suffering! Minorities, people that Biden promised to help. Well it looks like he is failing! It’s so sad to see people suffer like this!!!!!

@@alwillk That is a valid argument. Companies don't want to just raise prices in a competitive market. They would lose business. What would you do if the cost of what you sold went up? Let's say you are selling a pencil. It costs you .50 cents and you sell it for 1 dollar. So you make a profit of .50 cents. Now let's say the cost of everything went up because the dollar lost value. It now costs you 2 dollars for the pencil are you going to keep selling it at 1 dollar or are you going to raise prices so that you can stay in business. Is that company price gouging?

Nope! Too many rich people coming from other places that have tons of cash to spend. Eventually it's going to thin The herd and everyone will either be really rich or homeless here. There's still people giving $25,000 to $50,000 over asking price on homes and they will do the same with rent just to get the places.
