Nice! Someone made a high IQ shockwave play on me last night. I was in Brutal on a roof above them, and they shockwaved themselves straight up, breaking the roof I was standing on, causing me to take fall damage. And of course while they were then floating above me they were drum shotting me below them. It was brutal in every way.
Yeah they are excellent at high ground retakes through structures and will often make your opponent fall

Thank you so much for this video - it is brilliant! I have been in a private game in the pit this afternoon practising using the shockwave. I think I've got the hang of it but I feel I need more practice so muscle memory kicks in before I can use them in a real game when panic normally sets in. I think I used to throw them ahead of me and then jump which mainly resulted in me going backwards, just need to take a moment to look down - then throw - then run or jump and it seems to be working. I haven't used them in a game yet but will give them a go soon. Again, thank you for this brilliant video.

Thanks sensei! Great tip about destroying trees with ppl up top! On the flip side of this, I've noticed in my limited training so far is that if I shockwave up on top of a tree, you can't shockwave back down as the grenade falls through the leaves down to ground, so you can risk fall damage if there's no safe way down.
This is true... can put you in a bad spot sometimes for sure, especially if you have low health. Sometimes you can crouch into the tree and find a branch to throw it against but you can't always find one without falling out
Said this on another video already but these videos are excellent and very helpful as a new player. if you keep creating content like this it's only a matter of time before your subscriber count goes 6 figures

What's up, man! Cool tutorial. Regarding the 180-SG (shockwave grenade) intrance: I use the Reset Camera (not the gyro option) bind which allows for immediate camera-angle change. With a push of a button combined with a stick-flick, I'm in and I'm slayin'! Merry Christmas!

I like the video. And you skipped the most important part for me: the beginning, the basics of jumping with shockwave grenades.
The first few times I used one, I was thrown backwards. Team mates told me I had to sprint, look at my feet, and throw the grenade. I sometimes succeed in doing that. But you jump from a standing start.

Last time they had these at the end of chpt 3, I just used them the project people away from me to keep the distance so I could keep beaming them with my long range ability with the ranger or the hammer, and in end game. I will try some of these useful tips!

Threw a couple of them and never got a good jump so didn't bother using them much. As a person with absolute crap aim, I need to learn to use them. And... Yesterday I was in end game final two, zone was tiny and the other player tossed a shockwave at me, bounced me out of zone where I got a great view of the "You placed 2nd" screen... Thought... ah ha.. this is like the Force ability Obi wan Kenobi push people out of zone trick... As a person with horrible aim, this is my new best "get outta my zone" friend. .... Great vid!

You don't try to throw it behind you, you just hold w or "forward" so you're moving and then aim all the way down to your feet as far as possible until it stops and then throw - your movement will move you beyond it automatically and you then immediately jump to position yourself for a 45 degree parabola trajectory forward to get as much distance as possible (pretty sure basic movement RNG either cancels or suppresses the right side bias demonstrated)!
I'm a bit confused. Did you watch the video Robin? There are lots of ways to use it. The way you describe is one of them @ 1:13 , but you also need to strafe to the right in order to go straight. If you just throw it down and run past it without strafing right and jumping, you will be shot out to the left and you won't get very much height.

7:24 I get it around once every 5-6 augments
Hmmm.. that's very odd. I played 5 hours yesterday on stream and didn't get it once. In creative I tested it as well. Had 10 augments available, took me 3 matches (27 rolls) and got it. Then took me a another 3 matches (loading in, rolling and quitting if I didn't get it) for another 28 rolls to get it again. Maybe you are just really lucky, or it's device based?
I get it a lot too and my daughter seems seems to have it every game 🤷🏽♀️

With sprint you actually got past the 3 while without you got only behind the 3 wich means that sprint does help
I started a full tile length ahead (at the 1) when I did the sprint shockwave. I started at 0 when I did it without sprint.
I know bouncers are not in game but if the come back here is a tip for you if you hit the bouncer and after hit a shockwave nade you will fly really far but you gotta time it

Can you teach us how to land faster or how to optimize the bus-jumping? I’m quite new to Fortnite and it’s so difficult to land before enemies. I have already tried looking them up on RUclips and those guides are quite old and obsolete.

Rifted onto loot island yesterday to find someone capturing right as I landed on the house. Shockwaved them off of island before they could grab anything, looted up, then shockwaved onto their head down below with the mythic 😂

Mk Alpha, havoc pump, flapjack, shockwaves, legendary slurp. Mk cuz it's the best long range hitscan, havoc cuz if you play cover well and right shoulder peek you will always beat a drum, flapjack because it is a great close range cleanup but also has medium range melting capability - also has great hipfire accuracy in air.
