- Hey Besties! ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡ In this easy, quick crochet tutorial I'm showing you how to turn your ordinary mason jar into a fun mushroom 🍄 that you can use as a secret container or even a lamp. 🍄 Friendly FYI's 🍄
• I use U.S. stitch terms in this video
• There are some portions of the video where it looks like I only chain 2 when I tell you to chain 3. Oops! You should be chaining three :)
• When I say "regular" crochet that means you put one double crochet in each stitch like you normally would. No increases!
• I don't show it every time in the video but you should always start your rounds with a chain three and then end it by slip stitching into the top of your chain three.♡
• Abbreviations I use in the video: in = increase, dc = double crochet, 1 = one dc per stitch (NOT an increase), R= row of regular crochet (1 dc per stitch in that row)

🧶 Materials 🧶
• Any yarn + matching hook size (I used Lily Sugar 'n Cream Solid Yarn in red and Loops & Threads Cotton Yarn in cream)
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle
• Stitch Marker (you can also use an earring or bobby pin if you don't have one)
• Clean jar + lid in any size
OPTIONAL
• Hot glue gun
• Paper & pen to write down your stitches
• Battery powered light (to turn the jar into a lamp)

and to attach it, just use a yarn needle and sew it. i hope this helpss

What would you recommend using to put the top of the mushroom on if we don’t have a hot glue gun?
You can also knit it. That is what i did❤ love you❤

Can use a plastic mason jar and put lights in it?
I think a plastic jar could work! Just make sure it's a small light and never leave it unattended.
