The Jester is amazing, if you can really keep up with the enemies waves you can spam the balad until 0/20 strees points. You can't go wrong with a Jester!
After just finishing Stygian here are a couple of not super related but still important tips : 1. While using a riposte party, having the highest stress on the HYM or MAA will cause stress dealing enemies to target them more, potentially killing them and since enemies that die to riposte don't deal the stress portions of attacks you can come out on top even if the stressers get their actions. 2. Even if your team comp has no good trap disarm, scouting still let's you choose who takes the stress damage, as opposed to it being entirely random. 3. If your party ends up nuked with everyone having 100+ stress, when you return to the estate your stress will return back to 100 (You still will be afflicted), consequently if you do try and camp to remove stress in that situation, try to focus your heals on one single hero since the rest will go back to 100 anyway. Thanks for the great content Hidden Squidz!
How to deal with stress: Rule 1: Bring a Jester. Rule 2: Make sure he goes first. Rule 3: click Battle Ballad 1-2 times. Rule 4: destress characters as needed. Extra tip: Vestal + Jester and 2 strong dps heroes is the most powerful combination in the game. Very specific bosses are an exception to this rule.
HiDdeN SQuiDZ Gaming i have figured out a way to deal with champion dungeon after lost 12 lv6 heroes. “Some of you may die,but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make”
I have never taken a crusader to Cove, besides The Crew fight. Houndmaster - absolutely never. Watching your videos opens me to new combos and ideas, thanks.
Some people get reluctant about bleeds in the cove, but in all honesty they work just fine. Even against bleed resistant enemies because they aren't immune like skeletons.
@@1God1Fury in Cove I usually decrease prot with Occultist/BH or ignore it via SB/GR armor piercing. But yeah, HM's mark skill shines here and hes also a good stunner. High prot targets aren't priority, unless they guard a Thrall or Shaman. SB or a stun can deal with that. Will try HM more.
Thanks very much squidz. I've had this game for a long time and even though I've spent over 19 hours constantly restarting I always end up running on almost no gold at all and I am still having a really hard time with heroes getting lots of stress and only having a few hundred gold left over after provisions. I wanted to get the reynauld and dismas achievement but the former gets his kleptomania locked in before sanitarium is open. I've never made it to a veteran level and it's really frustrating bc i end up with no gold and a bunch of insane useless heroes.
Stress is one of the hardest things to learn to manage and reduce throughout the dungeon. So don't worry if it takes some time to pick up on all the small spots where you can reduce some and heal some.
Started playing DD this week, got to week 27 without deaths, then my party got wiped by the Miller. May my Leper, MAA, Occultist (who survived 7 death's door) and Jester rest in piece
@@cliffordfinchgang3682 It wasn't Infinite mode, it was on the second quest available, where the objective is to kill the miller. Does this also applies to this specific quest? I hope so, Leper was a MVP
Miller has some pretty brutal aoe damage so a vestal is a must essentially. The damage options get interesting but shield breakers are really good for guard breaks and protection piercing. Highwayman riposte point blank are good choices and lepers can be.
20:55 I think I know why you attacked hooker 1st is because you get his speed de-buffed, but failed on swinetaur. So on that turn Swinetaur had higher speed than the hooker
The jester is just OP. I mean as a noob i can instantly kill 60hp enemies who treas the entire party wtih debuffs and i dont have the money to spend $5k after each fight to remove stress. I feel like its a good mechanic but they added way way too much stress on some enemies, seriously OP. And this just forces you into using certain heroes for most situatuon, much like ACC which is now removed entirely instead of just balancing it correctly.
There is indeed something to be said about killing your enemies quickly and with crits! That is why some damage line ups are actually very good at keeping stress low.
the fact that its 2020 and darkest dungeon content is still being uploaded makes me very happy big ups bro
Thank you for watching!
i just got into the game this year! these videos are a great help :)
@@FancyToasters I am glad they can help!

Jester is indeed the wash away stress character. I had like 3 to 4 in my first campaign.

Glad you like them!

I agree, and that used to be my go to party composition. Also, I believe I show that same comp in the video because of that.
Watching this as 3 of my lv6 heroes died from heart attack: interesting
Champion level is a brutal transition from veteran. If you have any questions please ask.

Haha that is one way to do it as well.
Finally completed the game today (64 hours), your channel helped a lot!!
Glad I could help and thank you for commenting and watching so much!
@@HiDdeNSQuiDZGaming will look forward to your channel for Darkest Dungeon 2 as well :)
Me too! Sadly, no confirmations dates.
The background music sounds like my phone is ringing on vibrate in the background
Here’s the thing... enemies can’t caress you if they are dead... kill the, fast is basically a golden thing.
Quick strikes are great which is why, I sometimes really like the quickdraw charm on the hellion.
This game is very stressful. Pun intended.
Haha sure is!
Keep doing these guides! Helps me a lot!
Glad to hear!
I actually had no idea about the AOE crit corpse and hit enemy trick and I beat the game for the first time a few weeks ago, thanks for the tip
It is very situational but it works really well for impale and hounds harry.
I'm planning to do a platinum trophy run on ps4 for this game and I needed to learn this for my hardest playthroughs. Thank u a lot
No problem!
Did you do it?
@@sirmelonthefirst640 1 year later and yeah

Houndmaster have -40% prot mark. If you hate those 50% prot crabs and octopus shield dudes

Dude your occultist has some sick heals!
Mine either overheals (crit healing when my tank is at 90% health) or just bleeds my team -_-
I do get those sweet sweet zeroes don't worry!

have you considered sending in heroes to their deaths intentionally? The game seems to have a habit of making suicide teams do unusually well
Thanks!

From the colors of madness dlc? Heroes don't die from that infinite mode. They come back after 1 week

I need to prepare against the miller can anyone give me some advice?

Most likely. I would have to rewatch that but I trust you!
Just bring an on guard MAA and give everyone a free book of sanity at the beginning of every fight lol
Bolster is certainly a strong ability and having on individual take the stress makes it easier to heal as well.

The jester is really good. He can definitely counter and correct stress damage.
I play with mods n I have a very *aggressive* playstyle towards the dungeon. But from I've done; just focusing on dmg, Acc, speed are the go too.
Aggressive can certainly work and I like that way too.
so where the hell is DD2 ? im waiting and waiting ... nothing is happening.
I think the alpha or something is coming out later in 2020. Like in December or something
HiDdeN SQuiDZ Gaming I was secretly happening they would release it during corona.
Would've been super nice
My reynald just died bro what the fuck bro im gonna need to restart the game
tldr: GET GUD
