About 3 years ago little Timmy picked up the Magnolia starter deck, Little Timmy rode Lattice and used Charis' effect, then little Timmy called the OT off the top of the deck and went "WTF why are we doing topdeck calling in 2021?! This ain't OG era Gold Paladin!!!" Little Timmy proceeded to spend 3 years playing agonizing popurri mad cooking with every possible ride deck combination that wasn't its own becasue of how bad it was but every choice you can think of had its share of annoyances that made them not very good solutions. Now, FINALLY the Magnolia Ride Deck Saga is finally over and yeah, running 3 Orders instead of 8-9 feels SOOOOOOOOO much smoother now!
About the Elder vs Masques, Masques is more explosive wombo combo but more bricky while Elder doesn't kill the opponent turn 3 but it is better at handling the grind game and is more consistent at doing its thing, and in Divinez format big combo OTK decks that run out of gas in one turn are less favorable when looking at decks like Rezael that very much don't die to one big turn. That being said the only card here that doesn't quite work with Masques is Banaspati the rest of the Magnolia support works equally well in either build, if anything one can also argue Ilkewin feels more specifically tailored for Masques than Elder so there's that too.
